Chapter 25

JJ and I walk outside, myhand wrapped around his arm as we standnext to the group. Everyone makes their way around the fire pit, John B feeding the fire with wood. JJ sits next to Pope, starting a conversation about a new video game. Sarah and Kie are next to each other talking about turtles, so I turn to JOhn B.

“Sooo how have you been?” I ask, smiling at my brother.

“Things with Sarah are going great, I talked to her about this morning and got everything figured out. I’m ready to be a dad,” John B says.

“You’re gonna be a great dad,” I tell John B.

“Thanks, sis,” He says.

“Attention fellow pogues!” JJ yells, getting everyone’s attention. We all turn to look at him, watching as he stands up and uses his hands to talk dramatically.”I propose we go night swimming.”

John B stands up beside me and agrees. “That’s the best idea you’ve had in years.”

“Beers first,” Pope says.

We grab some beers, shotgun them, change into our swimsuits, and make our way to the twinkie. We decide to go night swimming on the beach rather than the marsh. It’s 8:05 by the time we get in the twinkie. With John B driving, Sarah in the passenger seat, and the rest of us in the back, I sit next to JJ. JJ takes my hand in his and gets close to my ear.

“I love that bikini on you” He whispers. I look down at the bikini I have on. It’s a dark purple set, and the padding in the top makes my boobs look good.

“You can take it off me later,” I say, smiling innocently at him and kissing his cheek.

He smirks and moves his hand down to my thigh.

“I plan on ripping that tiny thing off you as soon as we’re alone, trust me,” he says, kissing my neck under my ear before pulling away.

My cheeks flush as I look down at my lap, putting my hand over his hand that's resting on my thigh. A few minutes later, we;re pulling up to a beach access point and getting out of the Twinkie. The girls andI walk towards the water whlethe guys shotgun beers by the car.

“We should take some pictures right now,” Kie says as we sit on a blanket bearing the water. The guys are still by the car goofing around. Sarah and I nod in agreement.

“Let's do it!” Sarah exclaims. We stand up and start taking pictures of each other, laughing and having a good time while doing so.Eventually, the boys come down to where we are and jump into the photo shoot.

“I swear all girls wanna do is take pictures,” John B says.

I feel JJ’s arms wrap around my waist and I sink into him.

“Sophia Rose, you are the most beautiful girl in the world,” JJ says, kissing my cheek and swaying back and forth slightly.

“I can be at times,'' I say, turning around and putting my arms around his neck.

He smiles at me and connects our lips in a sweet kiss.

“Your only flaw is that you don’t have my last name yet,” He says.

I can’t help the smile on my face as he says that. I lean up and kiss him, this time for longer.

“I love you,” I say.

“And I love you,” He says, kissing me again.

We all hang out on the beach until 11:00. When we get back to the chateau Kie and Pope go back to Kie’s house and JJ and I go back to his. JJ and I change into our pj’s and climb into bed. I lay down and he lays his head on my chest. I fall asleep listening to his heartbeat.

I woke up the next morning around 6:00 am to JJ climbing out of bed.

“Where are you going?” I ask, tiredly.

“I’ll be right back, baby,” He says. I hear him walk to the bathroom and a couple minutes later he walks back into the bedroom, climbing into bed. I snuggle back into him and fall back asleep. I am awoken a second time by my phone ringing. I sit up and grab my phone answering it.

“Hey, babes,” I said.

“Hi, I called the Dr. I have my first appointment to see if I'm actually pregnant at 1, do you want to come with me?” She asks. I lift my phone away from my ear and look at the time, it is 10:43. 

“Yea, want me to meet you at the chateau?” I ask.

“I’ll come get you around 12:40,” Sarah says.

“Okay, see you soon,” She says, ending the call. I stretch and get out of bed.

“Who was it?” JJ asks.

“Sarah, she wants me to go to the Dr. with her,” I say, walking over to him and placing a kiss on his forehead.

“I love you,” He says, a smile creeping on his face.

“I love you too,” I say. He sits up and looks at his phone.

“I'm gonna go shower,” I say.

“Okay, princess,” He says. I walkout of the roomand go to the bathroom. When I’m done showering I walk back to JJ's room. I grab the bag that I packed last night and grab a t-shirt and pair of shorts out, putting them on. I walk out of the bedroom and JJ is sitting at the table with mickey mouse pancakes.

“I made breakfast,” He says.

“Awe your so sweet,”I reply, sitting down at the table. We eat our breakfast while making small talk. When I’m done eating I start the dishes and JJ goes and showers. I’m almost done when I feel JJ’s arms snake around my waist. He starts kissing my neck and I melt into his touch.

“I can’t wait to marry you,” He whispers in my ear. I turn around and place a soft kiss on his lips.

“I love you,” I say.

“I love you too, princess,” JJ says. I blush and turn back around to finish the dishes. JJ walks into the living room and I hear the tv turn on. When I’m done with the dishes I walk into the bedroom and find my phone. It is 12:02. I slide my phone in my back pocket and wall out to the living room.

“I gotta leave soon,” I say, sitting next to JJ. He puts his arm around me and I lay my head on him. 

“I think I’m gonna head over to John B’s when you leave,” JJ says.

“Okay,” I say. Were watching a movie until a knock on the door interrupts us.

“That’s prolly Sarah,” I say getting up. I walk over to the door and open it.

“Hi!” Sarah says, excitedly.

“Hey girl hey!” I say, matching her energy. I give her a hug and invite her in for a second. I walk over to JJ who is still sitting on the couch. I give him a hug and a kiss.

“I’ll be home later,” I say.

“Have fun. I love you,” JJ says.

“I love you too, JJ,” I say, with a smile. Sarah and I walk out to her car. She starts the car and I hook up my phone to the radio.

“What do you wanna listen to?” I ask her.

“Obviously Colby's song,” She says with a giggle. I go to my liked songs and click ‘Skin’ 

“She said you don’t know me!” I yell

“Sharp words that I just can’t believe!” Sarah sings.
