Chapter 6

"Sophia? Is that you." Rafe asks.

I look up at the car, "Hi Rafe."

"Why are you out here alone? It's 10 o'clock at night." He says.

"I don't know, I just needed some fresh air," I say.

"Get it in," He says. I open the car door and climb in. I buckle the seat belt and look over at him.

"Where do you wanna go?" He asks.

"I don't care," I say.

"Cool, I'll take you back to my house and we can watch movies?" He asks.

"Yea, I'm fine with that," I say. We ride to Tannyhill in a comfortable silence. When we arrive we walk straight up to his bedroom. I sit on his bed and he shuts the door. I take off my shoes and lean up against the headboard. He does the same. He turns on netflix and picks criminal minds.

"Ohh I love this show," I say.

"Me too," Rafe says with a smile. I snuggle up next to him and slowly fall asleep listening to his heartbeat.

When I wake up Rafe has his arm around me and his face in the crook of my neck. I lay there for a few minutes until my phone goes off. I move out of Rafes grip and grab it. I walk out into the hall and answer it.

"Hello?" I say, yawning.

"Sophia Rose Routledge. Where the hell are you?" John B says.

"With a friend," I say.

"Why didn't you come home," he asks. 

"Hold on," I say. I mute myself and tiptoe to Sarah's room hoping she was in there. I knock on the door then open it.

"Sarah?" I whisper yell.

"Sophia?" She asks.

"Yea, um I stayed with Rafe last night. Can you lie and say I was with you? John B is on the phone." I say.

"Yea, of course," She says standing up from her vanity. I unmute myself.

"Sorry, I was helping Sarah with some stuff," I tell him.

"You're with Sarah?" He asks. Sarah takes my phone and puts it up to her ear.

"Hey, babe," She says. I walk away to her bathroom, letting them talk. When I'm done, I walk out and John B had already hung up. 

"Did he believe us?" I ask.

"Yep, didn't suspect a thing," she says smiling.

"Thank god," I say, walking over and sitting next to her on her bed.

"Why were you with Rafe anyways?" She asks.

"Um, JJ went out with some girl and I got really mad and decided to leave and go for a walk to clear my mind. Then Rafe pulled up next to me and asked me to come hang out."

"Oh, you guys, didn't like you know or anything though right?" She asks.

"God. No." I say.

"Okay," She says with a small laugh.

"Could you drive me home?" I ask her.

"Of course. I was going over there to see John B soon anyways."

"Okay, I'm gonna go tell Rafe bye."

"Okay, I'll meet you in the car." 

I walk to Rafes room and he is still asleep so I decided not to bother him. I grab a piece of paper off his dresser and a pen. I write: Hanging out with Sarah, Sorry I didn't say bye. I didn't wanna wake you <3

I walk downstairs and out the front door to the car. When I get in I buckle up and turn up the radio.

"Ready?" Sarah asks.

"Yea," I say, with a smile.

"Okay," She says, starting the car and driving away. The whole car ride we screamed different Kevin gates songs. When we get to the chateau we walk inside and see JJ and some girl on the couch making out. My knees instantly get week and I start feel sick. Sarah clearly notices me.

"Are you good?" She whispers.

I could even respond.

"Hi Sophia. Hi Sarah," JJ says, looking up at us.

"Who's that?" Sarah asks.

JJ stands up and the blonde follows behind him. "This is Bella, the one I was telling you about, Sophia." He says.

"This, this is Bella? I question. She was so pretty, no wonder why he choose her. She had pretty blonde hair that perfectly shaped her face, mine was brown. She had bright blue eyes and mine were green. She had an hour glass body shape. I was super skinny. If I were him I'd choose her, also.

"Yea, this is Bella!" He says with a really big smile. Wow, he seems really happy. What was I doing that was wrong. Why wasn't he like that with me?

"Hi," She says with a bright smile. Her teeth were so white and straight. The sound of her voice instantly made me mad.

"Shut up," I say, walking to the fridge to get a beer.

"Hi John B," I say noticing he was standing in the kitchen.

"Hey sis," He says.

I take a drink of my beer walking back out to the living room. This time John B walks out there too.

"Baby!" Sarah says, giving him a kiss.

"Hi, hunny." He says back to her.

"Wow, Sophia your makeup looks really good today." Bella says. I don't have any makeup on. Besides leftover mascara from yesterday which is smeared every where still.

"Listen, Bella. I don't care if your dating JJ, but shut the hell up and don't talk to me." I say.

"Damn, with that attitued, no wonder why your mom left y'all." She says with a smirk.

"What the hell did you say about our mom?" John B says.

"What the fuck did you just say you stupid slut," I say walking over and smaking her in her face. "Come on say something again." She stays quiet.

"JJ control your bitch." Sarah says.

"Control MY BITCH!" JJ exclaims. "What about Sophia, she's the one being a fucking bitch and yelling and hitting Bella."

"What the fuck, JJ. Did you not hear what she said about my mom?" I ask.

"Listen, Sophia. Can I talk to you in private?" JJ asks.

"No, whatever you have to say, you can say it in front of everyone." I say.

"You know what, that kiss the night you comforted me after my dad. Yea it didn't mean shit. Everything that I have ever said to you, calling you sexy, pretty, gorgeous. None of it meant shit. I am finally happy for once and your treating me and my friend like shit? No, Sophia. I don't wanna speak to you ever again." JJ yells.

I can't even speak. I just run out the door crying. I didn't stop running until I feel myself being hit by something so hard and my body throw. All I could feel was pain, my head was pounding and my vision went black. The last thing I remember hearing was the sound of sirens.
