Hours went by and I still didn't hear anyone. It's not until the evening I finally hear a voice far away. By then my throat had gotten entirely raspy and I couldn't scream very loud anymore. Flashlight!

I scramble to get it, quickly shining the light out the hole above, my cold hands trembling as I turn on and off the flashlight. Three short- Three long- Three short.

Again.

short-short-short.   long-long-long.  short-short-short.

I hear yelling getting louder. Help- it's nearby! Keep going!

short-short-short. long-long-long. short-short-short. I start to feel my muscles tense up as I stare at the red moonlight coming into the cave. Footsteps! They're close! And then it came, the sound of my salvation. "Y/N?! Are you there?!" I hear from the top.

"Grunkle Ford is that you?!" I yell as loud as I can, not caring it hurts my throat. I hear multiple voices and I start to get anxious to get out. Finally, a silver-haired figure starts to ascend from the light. "Grunkle Ford!" I cry out in relief as I see him, his headlight blinding me for a second. I rush to get up, unable to see much as blind spots take over my view. Next thing I know the ground disappears from underneath my feet as I slip backward, not off the ledge, but my head still hits the wall. My world instantly turns dark again, all thoughts fleeing me as I hear someone yell my name from afar.

"Feather" I gasp, sitting up as fast as I can. Everything around me is grey with a red tint. Looking up I see my guardian angel bend over me. The red moon glowing behind him. "Are you alright feather?"

"Bill- wha-where am I?" I look around not recognizing the space I'm in.

"You're in my mind palace feather..." I eye him suspiciously. Is this MY Bill, or is he-? "I'm both." My eyes widen.

"I-I don't understand..."

Bill chuckles and snaps his fingers, a chair appearing in pure solid gold. It doesn't look very comfortable. "While I do have brothers I only have two. There was never a fourth version of me feather. I'm Bill Cipher."

"But the story of the masters and-" "All true." I get interrupted. "Only I didn't get dragged as far as Kill. I got one chance to become physical again since I only murdered that one time. William is still an angel, my brother dearest Kill has become a full-fledged demon. Meanwhile, fate couldn't decide what to do with me so I was thrown into this realm until its daughter FINALLY found her way here to decide what to do with me next."

My brain is slowly trying to make sense of this all. "Wait wait- fate's daughter? There's no such thing-" is there?

A cold laughter echoes around me. "Of course there is. Have you never wondered why you can't remember the last time you properly spend time with your biological parents? Why you never felt a connection to them? They might have birthed you, but Fate is your true parent. You Y/N, are the lost legend of Gravity Falls." A book appears in front of me, pages flipping like crazy until it stops at a page of a very familiar-looking woman, bestowing a feather to an infant in someone else's arms, the woman shedding a tear. No. That's not a just feather, it's used as a pen! I gasp for air as suddenly all doors appear in the hallways beneath us, every hidden door appearing all at once, chains breaking. Images flash before me of my birthdays. Whenever my biological parents would disappear after cutting my birthday cake, a woman in white robes would show up out of nowhere. A golden dreamcatcher appears, surrounded by feathers. A golden light embraces me at the bottom of the lake, giving me enough air until I'm rescued.

I cry out as all the memories returning at once gives me a flash headache, slowly ebbing away as I lie on the ground sobbing.

Before I can catch my breath I'm yanked up and I'm face to face with Bill Cipher, who's holding my wrist tightly. A sharp pain shoots through my hand and I gasp as I notice he cut the palm of my hand.
