♡︎Maeve's POV♡︎

♡︎. It's been a week since me and River made out? She's been acting pretty distant from me.

I'm a bit bummed about the situation, these past few weeks I've felt so much closer to her. I'm not sure why.

I look over to where River is sitting. Her posture is slouched and she's drumming her fingers against the desk. Probably bored.

I smile softly, she's always so pretty. Even when her posture resembles that of a 85 year old man.

Just as I realize I'm staring too hard River looks over to me, her facial expression hard to read.

I smile at her hoping she'll loosen up but she quickly looks away.

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. What's going on with her? One second she's kissing me, then next she can't even look at me?

I sigh I'm frustration and look at the clock hoping to speed up time.

♡︎

It's Rivers day to cook lunch and dinner. Needless to say I'm very excited, she's an amazing cook.

I bolt down the stairs and into the kitchen almost running River over in the process.

"Woah geez watch where you're going!" River glares at me.

I shrug it off with a nervous laugh and mutter a 'sorry'.

Quickly changing the subject I become excited remembering food.

"Is the food almost ready?!" I ask wayyyy too excited over food.

River chuckles and nods her head, "just a few minutes."

I do a happy dance causing her to laugh hard which only brightens my mood even more.

I could listen to her laugh all day.

She wipes a tear away from her eye dramatically. All of the tenseness earlier has slipped away.

Thank god.

The food was finally done and I happily chomped all of it, very tempted to ask for seconds.

The girls were laughing at my love for food. I let out a deep breath of air and rub my stomach. "Phew I'm stuffed."

Violet and Sage continue to snicker about my dramatic antics, cracking jokes here and there.

This is nice.

We finish and clean up everything. I walk over to River who was washing a few dishes.

"Do you have another class today?" I ask, jumping to sit on the counter beside her.

She nods, "Psychology."

I hum in acknowledgment. I watch as she washes the inside of mugs. How did she manage to make everything look so elegant?

She notices me looking and winks. I smack her arm feeling my cheeks flush red.

She's so dirty minded.

She laughs at me and dries her hands on the hand towel.

I go to hop off the counter, only to be interrupted with River slipping in between my legs.

"What are you doing?" I cock a brow at her trying not to blush at the feel of her so close.

"You're so pretty." She says softly running her hands up my thighs.
