A/N:
Hey guys!
Sorry for this but I changed the picture of Ruthelia in the first chapter. I got my reasons. Again, I'm sorry.

This time, the picture attached is, Emily. ;-) Have fun! --Yoli

-Ruth-

It was Sunday afternoon and Alex, Emily and me were just lying around in my room, bored. Lunch was just over and Mason had carried Lexi back home.

"What can we do?" Emily whined for the hundredth time as she lay on the couch.

"I don't know!" I answered.

Emily sighed and took out her phone.

I looked at Austin's room but he wasn't home. How would I ever be able to talk to him?

Suddenly Alex sat up and looked at her phone.
"We have something to do now!" She exclaimed.

"We're listening." I answered impatiently.

"James just asked if we girls wanted to come to the skateboarding rink or the park, whatever." She stated.

"Who's all there?" I asked suspiciously.

"James, Hunter, Travon and his girlfriend and Austin." She replied.

"Let's go!" Emily cried and jumped up.

"Walking?" I asked doubtfully.

Alex stopped short. "Forgot about that." She muttered.

I ran to my closet and hauled out 3 skateboards. "Nope, no walking for us." I declared with a smile.

--------------------------------------------

20 minutes later, we girls were at the park, watching as the guys drove skateboard.

I watched Austin closely. He seemed pretty good at it.

I on the other hand was used to street skating. Austin seemed to be used to vert skating.

"Emily!" Someone called and we all turned towards the voice. It was a guy from her gymnastics. Yes she does gymnastics.

I raised an eyebrow to Emily and she shrugged and jogged over to the guy.

"This is boring," I told Alex.

She nodded. "I know, we should do something."

"Maybe we should try some stuff with our skateboards." I winked at her.

"Totally!" She exclaimed.

I jumped on my skateboard and did a few stunts. When I finally felt ready, I did the railslide in one swift motion.

I did the railslide a few times and then did the kickflip.

The guys had stopped to watch us and were cheering us on.

I did a few more stunts and then stopped to rest.

I walked to a swing and sat down, gently swinging back and forth.

Austin came and sat down beside me.

"You were good out there," he commented.

"Thanks." I muttered and drew in the sand with my shoes. I had to tell him, now or never.

"Austin," I started and then hesitated.

Austin turned to me with a frown, "Go on," he probed.

"Me and you, we're just friends right?" I asked and I felt like slapping myself. What kind of a question was that?
