Monday:
I tapped my pencil on my desk as I stared out of the window. I was sitting in school in the last class.Austin wasn't in school today and it had me a little worried.
I looked at Randy and smiled as I saw how frustrated but handsome he looked. Must not be an easy class for him.
He had brought me to school in the morning, insisting on it since we were a couple now. I had earned a few glares and also a lot of stares.
And then, I had eaten with him and his friends, which Alex and Emily hadn't been too happy about. A pang of guilt washed over me and I shifted in my seat.
I glanced towards Alex and smiled when she looked at me. She gave me a half hearted smile back and averted her gaze to her book. I frowned and turned back to the front.
The bell rang and I quickly got up, stuffing my book into my backpack and then ran after Alex.
"Alex, wait up!" I called.
She turned around and waited till I caught up with her.
"What's wrong?" I asked anxiously.
"Nothing." She answered.
I frowned. "Are you sure?"
She nodded. "Yes of course."
I didn't believe her but dismissed it. "Ok well I gotta go to tennis now. Text you later."
She nodded and walked off. I sighed and took my skateboard I had left here and ran to the tennis court.
-------------------------------
I drove home with my skateboard after a few tiring games of tennis.
I walked into my house and sat down at the table. I took my phone out and checked to see if there were any messages. None. I sighed and laid it on the table.
Seeing the fruit on the table, I took an apple.
My phone rang and I quickly snatched it up. "Hello?"
"Hey Ruthelia. This is Austin's Mom."
"Hi Mrs. Rock." I answered.
"Do you think you could babysit Keicy today evening? I have a meeting that I can't miss."
"Of course. What time?" I asked.
"6:30 is fine."
"Okay I'll be there." I replied.
"Thanks!" She exclaimed.
"No problem."
I hung up and put the phone down on the table, taking another bite of my apple.
"Hey Honey." My mom greeted me cheerfully as she came down the stairs.
"Hi Mom." I answered.
She sat down beside me and took an apple.
"So I was thinking, maybe we could invite Randy over for dinner tomorrow." She suggested.
"That sounds great!" I exclaimed.
"Good. Don't forget to tell him. Now where's Abby?" She asked.
"Haven't seen her. Why?" I answered.
"I was thinking maybe we three could go shopping." Mom replied hesitantly.
"Sounds great." I declared. "There's Abby." I added as Abigail came into the door.
