-1 Week Later-

I shook my head frantically in terror and stepped back from the huge waterslide.

"Soo not going on that." I declared, taking yet another step back.

"God, you're such a baby!" Hannah complained and dragged me to the waterslide. "Girl, I'll go with you if you quit your incessant fussing." She frowned darkly at me and I sighed, giving in.

"Austin, I know you will miss me but I love you and..." I paused in the middle my dramatic goodbye and my eyes widened.

"Holy shiz. You just admitted something." Hannah arched her eyebrow and laughed at my expression.

"Oh my god. I just did." I breathed and despite my silly and so not necessary moment a few seconds ago, a smile spread across my face. "I love him." I breathed.

"Oh gosh, you actually realized! Well damn, I'm soo ecstatic. Now can we get on the damn slide?" Hannah's patience was wearing thin and I sighed, biting my lip as I sat down behind her.

The next thing I knew, I was flying down a steep waterslide. I actually wrapped my arms around Hannah and we both screamed as we flew around a corner. Finally we were pushed straight into the swimming pool and I came up, wiping the water off my face.

"Oh my gosh, that was fun." I exclaimed, following Hannah as she swam to the public center of the pool where Drew was sitting all alone, miserably looking around.

"It was." She finally agreed and greeted Drew with a peck on the lips, cheering him up immensely.

"Hey Ruth, is it alright if I take Hannah on a slide?" Drew asked and I smiled, nodding. "Sure, go ahead."

They swam away, leaving me alone and I bit my lip, splashing the water around in front of me.

"Ruthelia Summers?!" A voice asked incredulously and I turned around, facing the only person I had hoped I would not encounter.

"Jake." I answered dryly, facing my former crush of New York High School.

"Wow you look different." He commented and sat down beside me in the water, causing me to scoot further away.

"Thanks." I answered in a monotonous voice.

"I meant, in a good way." He hastily corrected himself, chuckling.

I stared blankly at him and he quickly coughed his laugh away.

"Hey I'm having a party tonight. Wanna come?" He invited, sending me a smile.

"I don't know, I'm hanging out with my friends." I answered and hoped he would take that as a cue to leave.

"Oh they can come too." He hastily said and I inwardly sighed. "K I'll think about it."

"Ok sweets, I hope I see you at my house, tonight." He winked, swimming away from me.

I glared at his retreating figure, my eyes narrowing.

"What did that poor guy ever do to you?" Sophia clucked her tongue as she sat down beside me and I looked away from Jake.

"Nothing, just invited us to a party." I answered.

"Oh my gosh! We are so totally going!" Sophie squealed and I winced, covering my ears.

"Ow, next time go to the other side to say that, and no, we are not going." I replied firmly, pressing my lips into a firm line.
