A week later Friday:
-Ruth-

The next week past swiftly and before we knew it, the two horrible weeks had come.

"Bye Mom!" We yelled as we stood at the door, watching her climb into Lizette's car.

Mom smiled and waved as they drove away. I sighed and went back inside.

I headed to the kitchen to make breakfast.
15 minutes later, the aroma of grilled sandwiches wafted through the air. Mason and Abigail were already sitting at the table, impatiently tapping their fingers on the top.

"Here you go." I placed a sandwich on the plates and then slid into my seat.

I was happy that Austin and Keicy weren't coming till after school. Gave me time to get into my room till supper.

Thinking of supper, I would need a lot of ideas of food for meals.

"Okay let's go!" I called upstairs to Abigail, heaving my backpack unto my back.

"Why can't I go with Chelsea?" Abby whined as we waited while Mason locked the door behind us.

"Cause we can go together. Come on Abby, just once." I pleaded.

"Ok fine." She sighed and climbed into the car. I grinned smugly and got into the front seat. "Now hurry up Mason." I commanded as I fastened my seatbelt securely.

"Yea yea." He muttered and started up the car.

A few minutes later, we reached the school. Grabbing my backpack, I climbed out of the car and ran to catch up with Alex. "Hey girl!" I greeted her, slinging my arm around her shoulder.

"Hey." She softly answered and quickened her pace.

"Alex wait." I replied, grabbing her arm. "What's wrong?" I asked, peering at her face in concern.

"Its nothing." She insisted, trying to break free from my grip. I narrowed my eyes at her and she gave in. "Ok so I miss being with you, Austin, James, Lexi and Mason." She admitted, prying my hand off her arm.

I sighed. "Well Austin is staying over for 2 weeks and my mom and his mom are on a women's camp."

Her eyes widened and she stared at me. "Wow that's awesome!"

I shook my head furiously. "No Alex, not awesome. Terrible. But I was thinking, maybe you and Emily wanted to stay over this night." I added hopefully.

"Hey that's a great idea." Alex answered excitedly. "Oh wait... I'm busy tonight." She stated.

"Damn it." I groaned. "Now I have to be in the house with Austin."

"Why don't you go to Randy's house for the night?" Alex suggested as we slowly walked towards the school.

"Well, me and him haven't even slept together yet so that would be kinda weird." I admitted, pushing open the door.

Alex turned to me with wide eyes. "What?! You guys haven't done it yet?" She stared at me in shock.

"Nope not yet. I mean, what's the hurry?" I shrugged as I opened my locker.

"Then why don't you do it tonight?" She asked, winking at me.

I stared at her, not sure if she was serious or kidding. "Maybe I will." I finally answered and slowly closed the locker.

"Speaking of which, here comes the sweet guy." Alex punched me playfully and shoved me towards Randy.

I smiled and ran up to him. He gave me a quick kiss and slung his arm around my shoulder. "I don't get a better kiss then that?" I pouted, looking up at him.
