The One I can Trust. (A Sonatakhan Story)

Chapter 17: Hearing the Truth and Determination.

Later that day near sundown, Sonic and his friends were searching for Khan.

"KHAN, WHERE ARE YOU MAN?!" Sonic shouted looking around the beach for Khan.

"Khan!" Manic shouted searching as well.

Meanwhile Sonata was on a pier looking over the ocean.

She had been secretly searching for Ken as well for several hours, but had no luck.

The other girls helped out as well but they couldn't find anything either.

Sonata then slumped to the ground slowly and started to cry.

All the other girls looked at her with sympathy.

Sonata lifted up her head and let one of her tears drop into the ocean, as she continued to cry.

But while the other girls were with Sonata Sweetie Belle was still searching for Khan.

"Come on. Where is he?" She said in frustration.

Just then she heard singing. She looked into a cave and saw the two officers singing.

Lisa: What a perfect plan we thought of sister,

It will succeed very soon!

Petunia: Things are working out according to our ultimate design!

(As they were singing, Sweetie Belle gulped nervously. Then as they looked into the water to see their reflections, she saw who they really are: Adagio Dazzle and Aria Blaze.)

Lisa: Soon we'll have our little sister magic,

and the world will be ours!

Sweetie Belle was shocked by what she saw, not only were Officers Melody and Octavia Adagio Dazzle and Aria Blaze respectively, but Adagio was the one Sonata made the deal with and they were the reason Ken was missing in the first place.

"Adagio Dazzle and Aria Blaze! Oh no they're going to.... I've got to...!" Sweetie Belle said in shock before racing back to the others.

"Sonata! Sonata!" She called out to the others before reaching them.

Sweetie Belle painted before explaining everything she saw. "Sonata I was searching for Ken when I saw. Your sisters and Adagio was singing with a stolen set of pipes." She said frantically.

Rarity crossed her arms and tapped her foot impatiently as she listened to her sister's explanation she thought that Sweetie Belle was just telling another one of her silly stories.

Sonata was confused by what Sweetie Belle was saying before Sweetie Belle grabbed her sister by her arms and pulled her to her face.

"Do you hear what I'm telling you?! Adagio and Aria are the reason Ken is missing in the first place and Adagio is the one you made the deal with." She said worriedly as she shook her sister back and forth for a few minutes before letting her go.

Sonata was shocked when she heard the truth from Sweetie Belle.

"Are you sure about this, darling?" Rarity asked her little sister as she fixed her hair, which became fizzled when Sweetie Belle shook her.

"Have I ever been wrong? I mean when is it important?" Sweetie Belle asked before grabbing Rarity's hands as she gave Rarity a serious look.

Rarity looked at her with shock realizing that Sweetie Belle was serious.

"Oh, what are we going to do?" Fluttershy asked with worry.

Sonata looked over the beach and heard the last part of the deal in her head.

"Before the sun sets on the third day. Their day." She repeated in her mind before jumping onto the beach with a determined look on her face.

She raced to go look for Ken again.

Twilight thought for a moment and then placed Spike down.

"Sonata, Spike will help you look for Khan." She said as Spike ran to Sonata's side.

"Spike use your tracking abilities to find Khan." Twilight told Spike, showing him the piece of fabric that came off of Khan's coat that the 'officers' had managed to drop while 'searching' for Khan.

Spike took a sniff of it and then sniffed the air. Not long after he caught the scent. "I'll try." He said as he and Sonata raced down the beach to go find Khan.

"Rainbow Dash come on, we have to go get Pinkie Pie so that we can use our magic to stop the other two Dazzlings." Twilight said.

"Alright." Rainbow Dash replied, grabbing Twilight's hand.

"What about the rest of us?" Scootalo asked about what they can do to help.

"The rest of you find a way to distract Adagio and Aria so they won't catch Sonata and Spike." Twilight said before she and Rainbow Dash ran off to go get Pinkie Pie.

"Distract Adagio and Aria, but how?" Apple Bloom wondered.

Just then Fluttershy had an idea. "That's it." She said before using her geode to summon some of the animals that live in or around the sea.

"Good thinking Fluttershy." Sunset said as they followed Fluttershy along with the other animals.

"Come my little friends, we have an emergency and need your help!" Fluttershy said as she continued to lead the animals and her friends to where the two Dazzlings were with Sonic and his friends.
