Cravings

The next morning, Adrien was downstairs in the training room fighting holograms of vampires that his father designed to help him get stronger and faster to one day defend himself from threats. Gabriel's wife was the best sword fighter and she hoped that she can pass her sword to her son when he's ready. Unfortunately, Gabriel had to give the sword to him physically, even if he's still a kid.

Right now Adrien held his sword, ready to strike, "HYAH!" He moved forward with the sword at a hologram. It vanished whenever he strikes at another and then another.

"Okay, that's enough!" Gabriel turned off the holograms to let his son catch his breath.

"Thank you Dad" Adrien put the sword aside.

"You're really improving I see," Gabriel said.

"Like a kitten growing up to hunt mice," Adrien said sarcastically and leaves the training room while walking on walls like a moon man. He got to his room and sat on the bed, thinking about Marinette.

"And I thought vampires turn into bats, not cats. So what are you gonna do, hunt mice and sink your fangs into them like a real cat?" Plagg asked while making fun of his owner's nature.

"Very funny Plagg" Adrien rolls his eyes.

"I'm serious, Adrien. You told me you like sinking your teeth on rats, not necks. Go out there and cool off to get some air as the charming kitty" Plagg suggested.

"Sure. Plagg claws out!" He transforms into Cat Noir.

He jumped out the window and pole vaulted far away from his home to find rats and he knows where rats like to go to. The sewers. He lifted the lid off and jumped down into the sewers. He can hear them squeaking and he saw a bunch of them. Probably breeding more of them.

"Perfect to satisfy my bloodlust" He reached for those rats that were running around. His fangs extend as he sinks them into the rat, causing the rat to stop squeaking. He drank until it's drained dry. Tossing the dead rat aside and went for the next one, due to his cravings that he hasn't fed on rats for days.

After six rats Cat Noir felt satisfied. His cravings have finally settled down.

"Haaaaah better" He threw the last rat away, "Big ugly rat, man" He complained and climbed the ladder to get out of here.

But was suddenly tackled by someone and they fell down together, "Agh! We seriously need to stop running into each other, Ladybug" He strained from her weight on top of him.

"Urgh sorry, Kitty" Ladybug got off him.

"Well seems I blend into the darkness too much" Cat Noir joked.

"And I thought cats like to eat rats" Ladybug teased me back.

"Um yeah, but I can't help drain their blood," He said.

"Wait, what? Do you drink rat blood? Gross but very ironic for a cat" Ladybug said, noticing the blood from his lips.

"Sorry, I was craving for it this morning and thought I find rats down here. Besides, there are millions of rats every day" Cat Noir said shyly and his cat ears twitch when he heard rats squeaking.

"I think you had enough" Ladybug said nervously.

But Cat Noir did the cute baby doll eyes, "One more, please? For this kitty dhampir?"

"Okay" Ladybug turns around while he feeds. She heard the rat stop squeaking due to her partner's fangs sinking in, "How many did you kill? I'm not scared, I just wanna know when your cravings kick in" She asked.

"It depends but no humans," Cat Noir said.

"That's a relief, kitty" Ladybug said.

Cat Noir finished feeding and tossed the dead rat aside, wiping the blood off his lips, "That got me thinking. My father thinks that vampires want my blood to become immune to sunlight. Perhaps this terrorist that is sending out kurai bats to evilize victims, maybe that person is a vampire. I don't know, I'm just guessing. My dad tells me that vampires fear dhampirs because dhampirs are vampire killers"

"Possibly. But whoever he is he's around here somewhere" Ladybug said.

"My mother was killed by them when they discovered she had me by my human father" Cat Noir said.

"Oh, sorry for that" Ladybug hugged him.

He hugged her back, "It's okay, you didn't know. I was only 7 when she died. My father worked so hard to protect me for years. Even if I'm not pure human, I still blush, breathe, eat normal food, walk in daylight, and all sorts of things like a human" Cat Noir said.

"It seems he did a good job protecting you," Ladybug said.

"Well, except he was really overprotective," Cat Noir said.

"Alright then. Well, let's go patrolling" Ladybug changed the subject.

After their patrol, Marinette visits her master to talk about wanting to reveal her identity to her true love.

"What should I do, Master? He revealed himself as Cat Noir right in front of me but not me as Ladybug." Marinette asked Fu.

"When the time is right, Marinette. We can't let Adrien feel spooked or played by you." Master Fu said.

"Okay. But I can't toy with his feelings" Marinette said.

"Try not to, Marinette. But tell me, what does he feel towards Ladybug?" Master Fu asked.

"Well flirty, protective, and helpful" Marinette said.

"And what does he feel towards the real you?" Master Fu asked again.

"Well he is a kind and gentle guy, well even saved me from being run over twice like I've told you," Marinette said.

"So it seems he's two different people. It seems he loves the real you while he's just being charming to Ladybug" Master Fu said.

"Yes. Well, he and I are dating in secret as civilian" Marinette admitted.

"Okay. But tell him who you are when the moment is right Fu said.

"I will, Master" Marinette bowed.

"But don't let the Bat holder get him," Master Fu said.

"Don't worry, Master. My partner has nine lives. He's got very sharp reflexes for a kitty cat" Marinette giggled.

Adrien was brushing his teeth and his fangs in his bathroom, getting rid of the blood in his teeth, "Better, now no one will suspect" He said, satisfied.

"I didn't expect that your cravings drove you batty," Plagg said.

"My vampire side may get the best of me sometimes," Adrien said.

"Jeez, kid. Have you ever considered trying to control your bloodlust? You're half-human you know" Plagg said and his owner finished up.

"I can last without blood for days" Adrien replied.

"And stick with human diet," Plagg said, munching on his cheese.

"Yeah. Those macaroons Marinette get are so yummy" Adrien said.

"Your dad gives me the creeps. Is he always like this when you lost your mom?" Plagg asked as he follows his owner that is walking on walls.

"I'm afraid so. He got trust issues to other people since she passed away" Adrien said.

"Did you even directly see your mom died?" Plagg asked.

"No, my father told me she was killed by a vampire hunter. My mom wanted to be more human than turning them into monsters. She fell in love with my human father and had me" Adrien explained and hung upside down from the ceiling while talking to Plagg.

"Not only that, it is said many vampires want immunity from me," He said.

"Is that why your father is protecting you? Maybe way too much and training you as a weapon?" Plagg guessed.

"Well more if so I can defend myself," Adrien said.

"You're still a kitten, Adrien," Plagg said.
