Chapter 7: Prototypes And Exploration

At the bunker...

Y/N: "Jade? You there? Im back~"
Just then, Jade appeared, she told me that she was getting the produce from the garden and wanted to show me.

In the kitchen

Jade: "You're finally back Y/N... What, what happened to you?"

Y/N: "Oh! I got injured from fighting an Octarian boss while helping out the Squidbeak Splatoon. It's not that bad, Marie had helped patched me up, I should be good to go in a few days." Jade told me that I should probably relax for a while, but there was a lot that still needed to be done.

Jade showed me the produce that we got from the garden and there was a lot.

Jade: "We got a lot of food now so you should be able to relax about food and water. Do you think that they have fruits and vegetables as well?"

Y/N: "Maybe, the wave could've washed away all fruits and vegetables that we're used to, but if Oceanic life was able to evolve, then I'm sure that there's a different version of fruits and vegetables, I'll talk to Marie about it and see if they have the same foods, if not, then we could maybe sell these to Inkopolis to make some money. They have stores so money is something that we'll need later on."

I told Jade to store 2/3rds of the produce that we have and ready the rest for transportation,  I could maybe give the food to Marie and she could help me find a way to sell them to shipping companies and markets.

I also told Jade about the weapons that the Inklings and Octarians use and that they're ink based meaning that they use the ink of the user.

Jade: "So their weapons use the ink that they produce and use that to "splat" the others?"

Y/N: "Yeah, I want to try and find a way to use ink as well so that I don't reveal too much about energy. The things that I'll need to figure out is how to get ink, how to store it, and how to actually use it."

I was thinking about a way to create a version of ink that I could use, maybe I can make a synthetic ink that acts the same way and is used the same way. That wouldn't work, I would still need a large amount as A3 and A4 can produce ink and submerge themselves in ink to collect more.

Maybe Marie can also help with this. Another thing I'll have to figure out is how to store it, I saw that A4 carried a cylinder that held her ink inside and would collect and send ink into her weapon that she used.

I could make something similar to it, I could use the base design of the cylinder and tubes connecting it to the weapon, but I'll instead, make it more lighter allowing me to be more quicker, I don't want to use energy all the time, I don't want too much to be revealed and I still haven't learned how to take in energy while moving, I only have a limited amount when I'm moving around.

I'll also have to make a weapon that would take in the ink, this way I won't have to use Offensive Spells that often. I can make the weapon based off of modern firearms, a rifle would be a good reference.

I started to head to the Materials Storage and gathered what I needed, I would need plastic for the body, a small scope, a rubber grip for control, and a skeletal butt for the rifle, this'll make it light and mobile for me.
