"Push on, persevere, continue progressing, for only change will come from hard work and effort."

With the Sun slowly approaching the horizon, so too does time on an upcoming battle...

As an Inkling sleeps, a nearby alarm clock beeps, waking them up...

Marie: So loud...

I turned off the alarm and just, laid there...

6:00 a.m... It's been 10 hours, since Y/N... lost.

After what happened last night, everything has been a mess. I had Destiny and Danica get some sleep but I don't think it helped.

Pearl has been trying to get ahold of her company but hasn't been able to, it frustrated her to the point where she stomped away to blow off some steam.

Marina worked herself to sleep with Jade still working on the information she collected.

Topaz though, was different... She kept denying what she saw and wanted to leave but Callie decided to stay with her and comforted her the whole time.

Though out of everyone there, Marie, was the most broken...

Why did this have to happen... Y/N...

I cleared my throat and got up from the bed, it was Y/N's bed, I decided to sleep in his room to help with what happened.

I washed my face and fixed my hair up before heading out into the main room where I saw Jade still trying to figure out plans to take down the multiple other enemies that were there.

Passing by, I went to the kitchen and just grabbed whatever looked edible, which was an unfamiliar cereal brand. Jade finally noticed me and decided to sit next to me.

"... I liked Y/N's cooking..."

"He, liked cooking with his mom... It was one of his favoites things to do with his family." Jade responded.

As Jade spoke about your family, Marie only broke out into tears as she dropped her spoon on the table.

"I can't take it anymore Jade... I just... Want him back..."

"I don't care if he's different! So what if his teeth are different! So what if his eyes aren't shaped like ours! Or that they don't have the normal black marks!"

"He still cared for us as we did for him! I... I never even... Got to tell him..."

I don't know why I was ranting. I don't know why I was shouting. But when I made my point, Jade didn't look mad, or annoyed. Instead, she looked empathetic.

Instead, she wrapped her arms around me. Although she was made of metal, she felt warm, as if it wasn't a physical warmth, but an emotional warmth I was feeling.

It was then that everyone else came over due to my shouting, but I didn't feel embarrassed that Jade was holding me.

"It's okay Marie, I know how you feel, we all know how you feel, you're not alone in this." Jade spoke.
