"To become the last of your own, is to bear the weight and burden of their all; Bear the legacy of those before you and those now gone and create a future worth living."

Nearing midday, the heat from the sun beat down onto those on the ground as the mountains loomed over.

The final fight, the final struggle, between the last two humans, was about to begin.

Everyone watched from a far distance as Y/N stood against Xavier in front of the mountain range, with a gust of wind blowing through the mountains, the beginning of the fight was signaled.

Starting the fight, Xavier rushed forward with a burst of Energy, hitting your arm as you blocked the attack.

"Amazing isn't it, I'll make sure to enjoy your death to the fullest." Xavier said.

Y/N: "And I'll make sure yours is as quick as possible, to make it as uneventful as possible."

I pulled my arms back and punched Xavier's chest, I could feel his ribs crack from the impact as I did. But, there was something off about it...

His body, it's tougher than before, but so is mine... Just what is this new state of Energy possible of..?

"Seems you're too busy thinking!" Xavier shouted at you.

Recovering his stance, Xavier struck forward before pushing your arm to the side, opening your right side to a punch, sending you back a distance.

Hitting the trees that covered the foot of the mountain range, you came to a stop as you crouched.

Noticing a second after, you dashed to the side as multiple beams of Energy cut through the area.

Dammit! He's got the advantage..! I need to get on the offensive fast!

I ran as fast as I could through the trees and jumped out into the open, dodging a final beam of Energy as it left a shallow cut on the side of my face.

"C'MON Y/N! SHOW ME MORE!! RUNNING LIKE A SOME KIND OF ANIMAL WON'T GET YOU FAR!" Xavier shouted.

Dashing forward allowed you to get the jump on Xavier, grabbing his neck before hitting his chest even harder than before.

Letting out a burst of blood from his mouth, Xavier retaliated as he moved his body around, slipping out of your grip and striking your side and shoulder.

As Y/N stepped back to catch his breath, Xavier gave a look of nervousness, Y/N's previous speed had exceeded what he'd imagined him of being capable of.

With the two of them at a never before seen level of power, nearly everything they would do would be a first experience for either one.

Getting into a lowered stance, you bolted forward as the ground shattered, leaving behind a trail of Energy as you landed a punch on Xavier's upper chest.

Surprised, Xavier fell to the ground as he rolled back, recovering onto his feet soon after.

I've been landing hits on his chest this entire time, but he's still able to get back up so easily as if I've done nothing! But... I guess the same can be said about me...
