"I am so sick and tired of this shit!" Remus said, frustrated.
"Oh just fucking say it, you're sick of me." Sirius replied in the same tone.
This was a rare, yet terrifying occasion, the two were fighting in the dorm room. James and Peter were downstairs in the common room trying to drown out the noise.
"I just wish you fucking cared Sirius! I wish you would just get a grip and get on with life, we all get your life is shit and your childhood sucked but that isn't an excuse!" Remus said, his voice now raised.
"Are you fucking kidding me right now? God I'm so sorry that I'm such an inconvenience to you!" Sirius yelled back.
"Oh there you go again, you just can't take criticism can you?!" Remus rolled his eyes.
"You're one to fucking talk, if someone looks at you weird after a full moon you just about cry." Sirius scoffed, and this comment is what hurt Remus who stepped back and looked down at the floor.
"yeh, fine. Whatever, maybe you're right." Remus mumbled softly before walking out of the room, storming through the common room and castle halls until eventually he was outside. He was just walking, he had no idea where he was going but he just kept moving. Eventually, he found himself at the quidditch pitch and he walked up into one of the stands.
He thought about the fight, and about the comment Sirius had made. He knew Sirius had every right to say that, after all Remus himself had been cruel commenting on Sirius' childhood. He felt a chill go through him as clouds covered the sky and rain began to fall, slowly at first then it began coming down fast.
He waited there, alone, upset, and still angry. He waited for almost an hour, and just as he was preparing himself to go back to the castle with his now clear mind, he heard the wooden stairs which led to the stand seats he was in creaking beneath the weight of someone. He sighed, knowing it was probably James, he did have a tendency to get involved in their fights, but he always seemed to take Sirius' side. Remus was incredibly surprised when he saw wet and messy black long hair come bobbing up from the stairs, followed by the face of his gorgeous yet obnoxious and irritating boyfriend.
"Hey..." Sirius said quietly, Remus didn't respond "okay I know we both said some hurtful things but I don't like fighting with you. Please can we just talk about this so we can resolve it?" he continued on.
"Are you sure I'm not too emotional to have a rational discussion?" Remus remarked, all the bitterness of their argument rising up in him once again.
"I was out of order to say that. I know how hard the full moon is on you, so I should've been more understanding." Sirius admitted and Remus felt his anger diminish slightly.
"Yeah," Remus began speaking, his tone now drastically different than it had been "I shouldn't have talked about your family that way. It isn't your fault, I just get annoyed when you act like you don't even want help. But that's my problem, not yours."
"Well, that's okay. I guess I'm just your problem." Sirius smiled gently and approached his boyfriend, who hastily took him in his arms and smiled into his neck.
"So, are we okay?" Sirius asked and Remus nodded.
"yeah, we're okay," he said "are you totally starving? Because I am. Lets head back before they stop serving food."
The two did just that and by the time they returned to the dorm Peter and James were rejoiced to see that they had stopped fighting. The night wore on, they played some muggle board games that Peter had bought near the start of the school year and all was once again well in the marauders dorm.
