—You kept a blank expression as the demon girl finished killing the other two. ''i have no interest in talk, currently,'' you felt slightly tired, you didnt know why though. so you planned on completing your mission, without torture or fail. she actually helped you when she fought and murdered her fellow demons.
you glared at the demon, contemplating whether you should torture her since she was a lower moon. it was almost rare when hashiras came upon lower moons or upper moons so you decided to just kill her without torture.
you moved your feet, slowly walking up to her. ''i'll kill you. i wont die until i kill a hashira, and you're clearly not a hashira! you are weak.'' her grin got bigger and bigger, taking over that gentle smile she had. you thought she'd act different, more calm but it didn't really matter so..
you got closer and closer, not even sharpening your senses. ''i am a hashira.' she disappeared after you claimed being a hashira. she appeared behind you, but she didn't have a head since you cut it off when she jumped above you. you both almost matched speed, but you were faster. ''huh!?'' she didn't matter to you, so you left before listening to her. what a waste of time you thought.

you saw a crow flying towards you as you walked back, you thought it was another mission but it wasn't.. you raised your eyebrows as the crow screamed in your ear. ''the flame pillar, rengoku kyojuro has died after a battle with upper moon 3.'' the crow sounded sad somehow. you furrowed your eyebrows as you remembered your last words and shinobu's to rengoku. 'do be careful'.
you wondered how the others would die, and you stopped thinking about it when shinobu dying popped up in your head. you continued walking, feeling slightly sad due to the news you just got. you still didnt hate demons somehow, but you didnt feel bad for them either.
you hoped rengoku was happy with what he has done in his life, which you were sure he was. he really was an awesome person so.
you continued stomping on the leaves below you as you walked towards the butterfly mansion. you saw kanao standing outside staring at the wall. she looked sad, but she always looks sad somehow.
you wondered if tanjiro, zenitsu, inosuke, and lastly nezuko were hurt or even dead. you rushed inside curious. you saw zenitsu stealing food and inosuke watching him. but wheres tanjiro? ''where is kamado?'' you questioned zenitsu, making him jump. ''hes in his bed.'' so he is alright,,
you walked towards the direction zenitsu pointed in, reaching it quickly. you slid the door open. ''tanjiro?'' you peaked your head in and saw him staring at the roof. he looked so upset which felt unsettling since it was tanjiro. he didnt even glance at you, which signaled you to leave. so you did. you moved your head back inside and turned your body around. you saw shinobu staring at you. you scrunched your nose up at her.
''tell me when you're behind me, shinobu!'' you scolded her and she giggled quietly. ''sorry, giyu told me to tell you that he has a mission with you.'' she smirked and did that weird thing with her eyebrows, in return you did nothing and just kept a blank face. you wanted to smack her though.
you walked outside the mansion with your blue sword latched onto your side. you awkwardly fiddled with it. you saw giyu waiting on you with his back turned. ''where?'' you simply asked which made him jump slightly. you ignored it awkwardly. there had been this awkward tension in the air ever since you said those things about giyu when protecting nezuko on mount natagumo. he planned on asking you about it, and you planned on asking him.
''there's a mysterious house that's very mesmerizing that no one comes out of. it's quite far away, may take 3 days to get there even with your speed.'' your eyes widened when you heard him compliment your speed but quickly went back to normal. you nodded.
''i have a question.'' giyu turned his head to you, while you both walked west of the mansion. you thought his tone was strange but you shrugged it off. ''what is it?'' you looked at him, you both now made eye contact. ''when we were at mount natagumo, did you mean what you said?''
you examined his serious expression, looking for any piece of emotion. ''mean what?'' giyu narrowed his eyes at you. ''i said a lot of stuff, so you might have to be more specific tomioka.'' he started to doubt himself and looked down. you saw his face was kinda red from being embarrassed. ''well, now I'm curious.'' you admitted. ''you said i'm not disliked..and..'' he seemed to think about what to say. you felt this wasn't like him but you still wanted to know what he was gonna say.
''and..you stopped shinobu from stabbing me..'' there was more too, giyu thought--but he decided to shut up. he already felt embarrassed. ''why would i say something i didn't mean?'' you nudged his shoulder which he ignored. he stayed quiet after that, too busy thinking about what you said. ''if you want, you can talk to me. im your friend so stop holding everything in, tomioka.'' is that how tanjiro felt when he wanted to know how i felt?
''you do the same.'' he replied with a stoic expression. ''im not as emotionless as you, or emo.'' he looked at you confused but shrugged it off. you saw him look at you in the corner of his eye.
''i dont want the entire trip to be silent, so talk.'' you demanded. he didn't speak though. ''do you remember when we met?'' he nodded and you groaned at his silence. he didn't want to talk to you, or anyone. his only concern was slaying demons, or was that just a lie? it was obviously a lie. he was frightened you would die, also frightened he was attached to you. so if you did die, it would hurt him. how could he be such a selfish loser?
