Crimson Parasite (On Hiatus)

Chapter 21: Voyage

It was getting dark. Null watches the sea as it gets darker and darker.

Null: "Waste no time. I'll build a boat then."

Null looks around for some materials, just trees, the snow, and the planks from the dock.

Null: "I suppose this will do for now..."

-Voxle POV-

It was quiet once again. Everyone was asleep except me of course. It would be a while before we could actually arrive on land.

Voxle: "Hey BETA, are you available right now?"

I waited for the artificial intelligence to respond. They were like a part of me but I could remove them any time I'd like, transfer them into another device but now's not the time for that.

BETA: "Yes Voxle?"

Voxle: "How long before we arrive there?"

BETA: "At this rate I'd say about... Tomorrow, early morning."

Voxle: "Huh. Well few more hours to go then. Gotta keep this pace if I wanna arrive there safe."

While I steer the boat. I think of memories or something to do while making sure the boat doesn't steer off course. I remember what BETA stands for... Well half of it. The "TA" in "BETA" stands for Tactic Assistant. The rest I can't seem to remember. I snap back to reality and continue steering the boat.

Voxle: "Just like the other tasks. This is gonna be another long night."

-Meanwhile in Xero's ship-

Xero: "Alright then... What now..."

Synth: "You were gonna test the cannon remember?"

Xero: "Ah right. That thing. By the way, how's our guest doing?"

Synth: "They're at the training area. You sure giving them a katana is a good idea? They've sliced a ton of stuff in half and it hasn't been an hour yet."

Xero: "I'm sure it's fine... I hope."

Xero walks towards the cannon. It was facing towards a hatch. Once it opens it was ready to fire. It was more likely almost attached to the ship so the vacuum of space doesn't pull them out of the said ship.

Xero: "Alright, where we firing?"

Synth: "How about that little planet over there? There's no signs of life there though."

Xero: "Perfect. Ready the cannon."

The hatch opens up and the cannon starts charging up for a blast. Xero presses a button. The cannon starts glowing purple and fires a beam at the said planet. Nothing. Absolutely nothing happened, or so they thought.

Xero: "Huh, strange. That was the gravity crystal right?"

Synth: "Yep. Scanning the planet for any changes... So apparently you just messed up the gravity there. Instead of pulling it... Repels?"

Xero: "Huh that is weird. Next crystal then."

The cannon starts charging up again. And with a button press, this time it was green. Another beam gets fired out of the cannon and towards the planet. And yet again. Seems like nothing has changed.

Synth: "Oh the gravity's back to normal. Time crystal right?"

Xero: "Mhm. Well I guess that's most of the crystals tested... Time to test the last one..."

And once again the cannon charges up one last time. This time it was glowing red. One last beam fired onto the planet. It just exploded. The remaining debris were being eaten by dark shadows, eventually dissappearing into nothing. And just like that, the planet is no more.
