Chapter 33: Corrupted Data

*THUD*

After falling through the portal, they finally make it to Xero's base. Voxle stands up and looks around.

Voxle: "Looks like Xero did some upgrades while I was gone... Let's see if there's anything new inside."

Voxle takes out the chip. He held the chip in their paw with a small trace of guilt. He took a deep breath and thought it was for the better. He finally inserts into his visor.

-MEMORY PLAYING-

Koto: "So you're saying you don't know what most of these do?"

Koto and Xero was walking towards the building's exit, Xero was typing down the functions of the crystals on a tablet as they do so.

Koto: "I've read about those... In a book somewhere."

Xero: "Well, do you mind if you share?"

Koto: "I'm going to be gone anyways, Alright. First of all, Purple isn't gravity, It's more like it controls the motion of things."

Xero erases some text on the tablet and types again.

Koto: "Second, Light blue controls sound. And Pink does some things that relate to the mind, like hallucinations, how you see things. And Yellow can give... Life. But I'm not sure because that book was really outdated."

Xero finishes typing but they felt like something was missing as they lean on one of the room's walls.

Xero: "What about Red? It seems like the most destructive one as it blew a really big hole on that empty planet while I was testing."

Koto: "Red? I don't remember a red one in the book... Must be something else."

Null was also leaning on the wall surprising the two as they didn't notice them there.

Null: "So."

Xero: "Ah right! Almost forgot."

Xero opens a portal to the place where the group broke out Ace from containment. Null enters first, Koto follows as well...

-MEMORY END-

Voxle: "Hm, that's some info out of the way but what about the layout of the base."

Voxle continues to look through the chip's data, gathering details about the layout of the base and then patching it together.

Voxle: "Got it. It seems like Xero made the vents more secure, so we have to break in another way."

Quinn: "Hey you might want to check this out."

They look at a transporting container that has the others tied up together, followed by cardboard boxes that seemed out of place.

Quinn: "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

Voxle: "Yes and stupid as it looks, it might work. Alright who's coming with? This might get a little risky."

8Ball: "I'll stay, the Earthlings should stay too."

Voxle: "That leaves us to three. Let's go save our friends."

Voxle, Quinn, and Atlas approach the base while Elliott and Jay were left wondering.

Elliott: "Why didn't you go and why did you make us stay?"

Jay: "Yea... I want more action!"

8Ball: "I'm a pacifist. And also I'm sorry for not letting you two go but it's too risky for what they have planned."

Jay: "It IS a stealth rescue... Right?"

8Ball: "..."

Jay: "Right...?"
