Chapter 6: Drifting Away

Voxle wakes up and finds theirselves in a pod.

Voxle: "What happened?..."

Voxle: "BETA?"

BETA: "Communications offline, and we seem to be heading to another planet"

Voxle: "How do i change the direction of where this is going?"

BETA: "I'm sorry captain but I'm afraid that Xero has made sure that we have no control on where the pod is going"

Voxle: "Can you atleast tell me where we're heading?"

BETA: "We are arriving at a planet called: "Earth". It's a planet that inhabits anthromophorbic animals"

Voxle: "What language do they speak"

BETA: "I do not have information on that. Sorry"

Voxle: "Ah great. Seems like we have a huge language gap."

Voxle leans back in the seat of the pod and looks at space through the window.

Voxle: "most of space's fate is now on the hands of Xero. And thanks to them being so talkative I've gotten enough info"

Voxle: "BETA. Notes application please."

BETA: "Opening notes."

Voxle: "Alright let's see what we have to deal with"

Voxle starts typing on a holographic keyboard

"Blue controls elements, Purple controls gravity, Green controls time, Oranges creates portals, Black and White control brightness and darkness, Yellow, Pink, Light blue, and Red are unknown."

Voxle: "I think that's all I can remember and all that Xero metioned."

Voxle closes the app on BETA and goes back into staring into space.

Voxle: "Since there isn't much to do and our communications are sabotaged I'm just gonna take a nap. BETA, let me know if we're near."

A red jellybean with legs and what seems to be a backpack and a visor floats past the pod

Voxle: "Huh that's oddly suspicious."

Voxle lays down on the seat.

Voxle: "To be honest this pod is quite comfy compared to the escape pods I had to use back then. Too bad I have no control over this one"

Voxle falls asleep.

-Timeskip because putting the arrival part on the next chapter is gonna be awkward.-

BETA: "Captain we are near."

Voxle: "Just 5 more minutes... I'm still sleepy"

BETA: "Yes captain. 5 more minutes until we land"

Voxle: "WAIT WHAT?!"

Voxle immediately wakes up and looks outside the pod's window

Outside was a planet. It was mostly blue and partly covered in green. Earth.

Voxle: "Alright so... Now what"

BETA: "It appears we just... Crash"

Voxle: "Doesn't this pod have something to make it... Slower or anything to make the landing more safe?"

BETA: "I have scanned and it appears there is none. But it is quite sturdy"

Voxle: "Crash it is. Besides, What's the chance of us dying."

BETA: "50%"

Voxle: "So you're 50/50 unsure how this is going to go?"

BETA: "I don't have much info in that planet captain. Who knows what can kill us there"

Voxle: "Good point."

The pod was near the planet. And after a few minutes it entered the atmosphere and starts getting pulled by the gravity of Earth.

BETA: "Estimated landing time in 15 seconds... 14... 13... 12... 11... 10... 9... 8... 7... 6..."

BETA: "5... 4... 3..."

*CRASH*

BETA: "We have arrived at our forced destination"

BETA: "Status: Vocal speakers broken, Gauntlets battery empty, and your left arm is bleeding captain."

Voxle searches the pod and found a first aid kit. They pour alcohol to avoid it getting infected and winced a little. After that they wrap their arm in bandages.

Voxle: "Ah great. Now I have to fix my speakers or i won't be able to communicate to the creatures that live here. If I even knew what language they speak."

Voxle climbs on top of the pod and views their surroundings.

Voxle: "This planet is actually pretty nice. Grass, trees, green, more green."

Voxle: "Alright we got 3 options. 1 I live the rest of my life here and probably meet the inhabitants, 2 I fix BETA's commucations and contact help and stop Xero, and 3 I fix BETA'S communications but instead of contacting help. I ask Xero if I could join them in taking over... Yeah option 2 it is."

Voxle takes one last look at their surroundings before stepping down the pod.

Voxle: "Is it still safe to sleep in this?"

Voxle lightly kicks the pod while trying to get in it.

BETA: "It seems to be still safe and partially working."

Voxle: "Alright. Wake me when it's morning."
