Chapter 31: Pressured

Two footsteps and the ambience of the city was the only thing that can be heard, Voxle was being chased by Koto, a very angry saber wielding protogen.

Koto: "Stop running and face me!"

Voxle turns around and looks at Koto, he looks where he's going again and almost fell off the building. He turns around and crosses his arms.

Voxle: "Well it looks like I've run out of places to run. Shall we?"

Voxle pulls up the sleeves of his clothes revealing his gauntlets.

Koto: "New weapon to beat me with huh? It would work but I'm not that same old 'me' anymore."

The both of them stood and looked at each other for a short while, examining each other and making plans on how to win this fight. Both of them stops and readies their weapon.

Koto: "Remember last time? Picture it again but with you getting beaten instead."

Voxle: "Don't get so cocky."

Koto leaps towards Voxle and slashes his saber. Voxle responded with a dodge and a quick jab on Koto.

Voxle: "You're lucky I didn't turn on my gauntlets yet, but now that luck will run out in 3... 2..."

Voxle turns on his gauntlets, each projecting hard light forming a blade. He unleashes several punches at Koto but they blocked and dodged all of it.

Koto: "That all you got? Just some weak punches?"

Voxle: "Yes."

Koto: "Wait what-"

Voxle makes a shield using his gauntlet and knocks down Koto while their guard was down. Koto hits the ground and Voxle starts running again.

Koto: "You coward!"

-Back at the ship-

Elliott was lying on the bed, Jay was sitting on a chair and balances it with it's two back legs.

Elliott: "So what do we do now?"

Jay: "I dunno, really. Honestly I was expecting a little adventure or two when we first found Voxle but this is not what I had in mind."

Elliott: "Yeah, to think of it. We are way out of our league. No training, no practice."

Jay: "Who said we had no practice?"

Jay stops balancing the chair and picks up his bow, he throws an empty can and draws his bow with a toy arrow. He aims and fires at the can while it's midair, and misses.

Jay: "Yea we don't have practice."

Elliott: "That was a little advanced to begin with."

-And now Back to Voxle.-

Koto slows down, tired.

Koto: "Stop running, you coward!"

Voxle: "That was all part of the plan."

Koto's eyes widen in shock upon hearing this. They look around and see that it was the same place they started chasing Voxle.

Voxle: "Give up now and this won't hurt at all. Besides, You're... Tired."

Voxle was also tired from running, possibly more tired than Koto as he was less mechanical.

Koto: "Heh, I would gladly die here now, after all I should've been dead. But I'm not going out without one last fight."

Koto shakily stands up and raises their saber towards Voxle. It starts glowing purple, crackling with energy. A call interrupts both of them, Koto answers it and hears a familiar emotionless voice.
