Chapter 23: Curiosity

Back at the alley where Voxle and the group were.

???: "Follow me."

Voxle turns back to look at the group. They were exhausted and unsure if there should trust the figure in front of them.

Jay: "Hey should we trust them?"

Elliott: "Well what other choice we have? They have the map Voxle needs."

They turn to each other then looked at Voxle who was standing behind the figure.

???: "You going or not?"

The group thought about it and agreed. They asked Voxle and they agreed too, they were suspicious about the figure though. Can't blame them.

Zyphon: "We're going."

The group follows behind the figure, still unable to see their face. They stop at one of the doors in the alleyway. They open it and saw a table with stuff. Weapons, a bigger map, tools, and other stuff like food. Probably their base?

Jay: "Uhh what is this place?"

???: "It's our little hideout after a failed mission. Well half failed actually."

Elliott: "Our?"

??? (2): "Oh hi there!"

A lime protogen stands up from a couch that was facing a fireplace. They had just one eye displayed on their visor. They were also wearing a suit which was odd.

Yuni: "Who are you two? Also what do they mean Half failed?"

??? (2): "Oh how rude of us. We haven't introduced each other. My name's 8Ball, pleased to meet you."

The figure on front of them turns around, finally revealing their face. They were also a protogen but they were minty light blue color.

???: "Kyerie. You can just call me Ky, Kye. Whatever."

8ball: "Forgive them they're just a bit upset about the mission."

Voxle looks around the place. They notice the map on the table. It had highlighting on it along with a few blueprints of a building.

8Ball: "Sorry to interrupt but you must be Voxle, correct?"

Voxle nods at the question. Kyerie walks away from the others and sits down at a couch and picks up a weapon to check it.

Yuni: "About the half failed mission..."

8ball: "Oh sorry, almost forgot. We were sent by the council to retrieve Voxle for an important task. Unfortunately one of our members were captured by people who live in this planet. They didn't seem nice though."

Kyerie: "That fool wouldn't be captured if they were taking the mission seriously."

8Ball: "Hey be nice okay. It's not our fault they were captured."

Kyerie: "It wasn't. It was that idiot's fault."

8ball: "Mind if you excuse me for a second? Thanks."

The lime protogen walks towards the other one. A small argument starts but the group didn't pay much attention as it wasn't that important.

Zyphon: "I feel like I've seen Kyerie before. Do you, Voxle?"

Voxle [Message]: "I don't but I have a feeling. The side of their visor displayes a snowflake. Just like yours which displays a flame. Might be another elemental?"

Zyphon: "Ice huh."

Zyphon flicks their claws, creating a small flame. The other two protogen finish their argument. Kyerie looked defeated while 8Ball still kept their expression.
