Chapter 7

Everything's Rosie

The following morning, Yuya woke up from his slumber. Yawning as he greeted the Hell's new day sun.

"Well, yesterday was surely something", said Yuya to himself. "It's not everyday you duel two demons AND get invited to a strip club". As he got up and walked down to the kitchen, one of the imp butlers approached him.

"You have a letter" the butler said. He then handed a red envelope with a black rose seal.

"Wonder who it's from?" Yuya wondered. He then opened the envelope and read it's contents.

Greetings, Mr. Sakaki.

I enjoyed watch your little display of monster fisticuffs during the Arc League on the picture show. Your style was simply the most dazzling display I've seen. I would've called you over the blower but mine seems to be having, as you modern people say, 'technical difficulties'.

I also apologies for my dialect, I grew up in the 30's and that has influenced my speech. But, back on topic, I would absolutely blow my wig if you came to my cave.

Just look for Rosie's Emporium and you'll find me.

Signed, by yours dearly.

Rosie.

"Rosie?" Asked Yuya. Charlie then came down from her room and heard what Yuya said.

"You got a message from Rosie?" Asked Charlie curiously.

"You know who she is?" Asked Yuya.

"She's an overlord", answered Charlie. "She's the girl with grey skin and the large, red hat". Yuya then took out his phone and looked at the photo he took. His eyes then narrowed at the demon that fit that description.

"So, I take it she died in the 30's?" Asked Yuya,

"Oh, she never died", answered Charlie. "She was born down here".

"People can be born down here?" Asked Yuya.

"Yeah, mostly beings like Imps, Hellhounds and the like" answered Charlie. Yuya cocked an eyebrow at this.

"Well, I best be off", said Yuya as he walked out the door. "Hate to keep the lady waiting". Yuya then walked down the street and he continued to be amazed by the variety of demons and sinners that walked around. He also noticed that some of them had duel disks on and some were even duelling. Eventually, he arrived at a shop called 'Rosie's Emporium'. Yuya then opened the door and went inside. When he walked inside, he saw several clothes that appeared to be from the 30's.

"Hello!", Yuya called out. "Is anyone here?!". Yuya then heard the sound of heels clicking on the floor. Yuya then looked to the counter and saw a figure walk out of the back room. She was a female demon with pale, white skin, a long neck, a mouth full of sharp, white teeth and here eyes were completely black. She had a head of white hair that appeared to be short, but for all Yuya knew, it could've been tied up in a bun. She wore a dress from the 30's that was coloured red and had grey sleeves and shoulders, a black belt, black wrist bands and wore a red sun hat with a skull, a red and black plume and three feathers in her her hat, one black and two pale red. She also held a red umbrella in her hands.

"Oh, I take it that you're Yuya Sakaki?" The demon asked in a voice that sounded like she had an english accent or old time American accent to it

"Oh, I take it that you're Yuya Sakaki?" The demon asked in a voice that sounded like she had an english accent or old time American accent to it.

"Yeah", answered Yuya. "Are you Rosie?".

"Indeed I am", the demon answered. "Would you care for some tea?".

"I'm not that much of a tea person", said Yuya. "But I wouldn't mind some coffee".

"Well, I do believe I can sort out some coffee for you" said Rosie. She then lead Yuya into the back of her shop. There, was a lovely garden that was filled with red roses.

"Now sit here, while I get our drinks ready" said Rosie as she walked back into the shop. It was only a few minutes and Rosie returned with a plate filled with tea cups, a tea pot and a coffee pot.

"I do hope you don't mind cream", said Rosie as she poured coffee into a tea cup. "I didn't get any milk on my last trip to the store".

"No need to worry", said Yuya as he picked the cup in one hand and the saucer in the other. "I prefer it".

"I must say, Yuya", said Rosie before she took a sip of her tea. "You have quite the manners on you".

"Well, there's a girl at my duel school named Allie", said Yuya. "When we were younger, we used to have tea parties".

"My, must be quite the little princess" said Rosie.

"Yeah, and when she has a temper tantrum she can be quite scary" said Yuya.

"Most girls are when they lose their temper", said Rosie with a chuckle. "Now, I do believe that you have other friends in your gaggle?".

"Uh, yeah", said Yuya. "Zuzu, Sora, Tate, Fredrick and Gong".

'Yuya, are you there?'.

"Yeah, I'm here Nico" answered Yuya.

'Didn't you want to ask Ms. Rosie something?'.

"Oh yeah, I forgot", said Yuya. "Well, uh, Rosie, ma'am. I would like to ask if-".

"If you could duel me to see if I was a strong enough duelist?", asked Rosie finishing off Yuya's sentence. "Is that what you were going to ask?". Yuya was shocked by this.

"How did you-".

"Despite the fact I'm an old fashioned lady, I'm not oblivious", said Rosie. "Why do you think I called you here? It's been a rather slow week, so I thought I would have a nice little game of Duel Monsters with you. If you'd be so kind?".

"Like I'd ever pass up a duel", said Yuya as he turned on his duel disk. "As my father would say, it's time to swing into action". Rosie then got up and activated her duel disk.

"And as I say", said Rosie. "It's time to duel!".
