Chapter 1

Your POV

Here you and your sister stood, in the fuedal age of Japan with a half-demon known as Inuyasha. Much to everyone's dismay, Kagome shattered the Jewel of Four Souls with an arrow and Kaede informed the three of you that you needed to work together.

You and Kagome didn't mind it much, but Inuyasha seemed pretty annoyed. Apparently it was something about Kagome looking similar to another woman known as Kikyo...

However, only two days after Mistress Centipede died, (and the whole shard business) you and Kagome went home after being attacked by another demon known as Yura of the Hair. Luckily, you knew you'd be going back and armed yourself with your dagger, strapping it tightly to your thigh.

Now, you, Kagome and Inuyasha were heading off to look for the Jewel fragments.

Inuyasha begrudgingly carried you, (since Kagome made him) while Kagome rode on her bike.

"Hey kid," Inuyasha began, catching your attention and Kagome's. "How come you and Kagome are so different?"

"I'm adopted," you murmured, huffing.

"Adopted? What's that mean?"

You sighed. "It means I wasn't born in her family. Kagome and I have different last names afterall."

Inuyasha huffed. "It's not just that. Even though you're younger you seem a lot more protective over her than she is of you."

"Huh?" You breathed, blinking. You glanced away. "It's just how I am. Sota and Kagome aren't like me," you murmured. Inuyasha huffed, but said no more.

You sighed mentally, glancing at Kagome. Just how did we get stuck like this?

???'s POV

"Heh, so they're the ones that broke the Shekan Jewel? And my old "friend" Inuyasha is with them..."

A tall male with black hair watched from above, slightly curious. He already knew about the young woman Kagome, but something was different about the young child they referred to as 'Y/n.'

He snickered. He'd keep an eye on the girl, but in the mean time, he'd go look for Jewel shards himself...
