Chapter 56

Your POV

"Y/n? Won't you talk to me, please?" Naraku grabbed a hold of your chin gently, tilting your head to face him. While his expression gave away nothing, you could hear the desperation in his voice, and you almost felt bad.

You didn't respond. Instead, you simply avoided his gaze, curious as to how far he would go to get your attention and forgiveness. But, Naraku merely sighed, releasing your chin and turning away.

"Fine," he muttered. "I guess I'll have to try harder." And suddenly, you found yourself pinned underneath him, with your arms held above your head. Your eyes widened in surprise, but Naraku merely smirked.

“I see you’re no longer ignoring me,” he chuckled, ever-so-slightly tightening his grip around your wrists. You let out a huff before glancing away, feeling your cheeks heat up. You knew he had done this before, but you honestly hadn’t expected him to do it again. Guess he really was desperate for your attention.

“What do you want?” you murmured softly, still avoiding his gaze. He used his free hand to gently grab your chin between his thumb and forefinger, turning your head so that you were looking at him.

“I want you,” he replied, causing you to blush more. He chuckled softly, lowering his head. “And I can tell you want me too,” he murmured against your lips, causing you to shiver slightly. You couldn't deny his words, but you hadn't quite expected him to do something like that.

Naraku's POV

He couldn't help but smirk at her reaction. It was obvious she still had feelings for him considering her blush, and he enjoyed the power he had over her. Even though she so blatantly tried to hate him, she just couldn't, and he knew that.

He chuckled softly before leaning down and kissing her lips. He felt her stiffen up underneath him for a moment, but she soon relaxed. He knew he'd have to leave before long, but now he just wanted to have this time with her.
