Kagome's POV

Kagome was devastated. Sango, knowing how it felt to lose a younger sibling, tried her best to comfort the girl. But nothing seemed to work.

Kagome was in a state of shock. So much so that she needed to be carried by Inuyasha as the group made their way back to Kaede's house.

Inuyasha explained to Kaede what had happened, Kagome vaguely listening. Her mind was in turmoil, her thoughts swirling around like a destructive tornado. Her sister had been taken by their enemy. She could only imagine the worst.

Suddenly, she felt Inuyasha's hands gripping her shoulders tightly, forcing her back into reality with a shake.

"Kagome, you need to let your family know," he explained, staring into her eyes.

"What?!" She exclaimed, backing away from him. "How can I possibly tell them?! I was supposed to protect her!" She screamed, clutching the sides of her head with her hands. Her eyes were shut tight, tears welling at the corners of her eyes.

Inuyasha's POV

Inuyasha backed away slightly, eyes wide with shock. Kagome was full out bawling, sadder than he had ever seen her before.

Sango was crying along with her, the demon slayer's mouth covered by her hands.

Inuyasha glanced back at Kaede, Shippo and Miroku, unsure of what to do. Shippo and Miroku shrugged, unsure, while Kaede looked at Kagome, sympathy filling her eyes.

Taking a deep breath, he turned back to Kagome.

"Look, I know you're upset, but your family needs to know. If it makes you feel better, I'll go with you to help explain," he soothed, pulling Kagome into a hug.

The girl stiffened slightly at his touch before relaxing and wrapping her arms around him, comforted slightly by the embrace.

"Okay," Kagome sniffed, backing up.

Inuyasha grabbed her hand, helping the girl to her feet. He picked her up, carrying her bridal style, before turning to their friends.

"I'm not sure when we'll be back. Think of a plan while we're gone," Inuyasha ordered slightly, relieved to see everyone give him a curt nod.

With that all said and done, Inuyasha walked out, Kagome held tightly in his arms.

Your POV

You woke up, feeling groggy. You were in a dark room with nothing but a door on the far side.

You looked around, confused. Until you remembered. You began to panic, knowing that Naraku was bad news.

As you continued to think about it, you knew Kagome would be devastated. If only you hadn't gone off on your own...

Suddenly, the door opened, and Naraku stepped in. Instinctively, you reached towards your dagger, only to find that it wasn't there.

You snapped your gaze up at Naraku, having now realized that he was no longer wearing his baboon outfit. He wore a dark blue kimono, and his long black hair was tied up. From where you were at, you saw that his eyes were bright red.

"Are you scared, Y/n?" He asked, eyes flashing in the dark.

You backed up towards the wall, glancing away before replying, "No, I'm not."

"Then why do you back away?" He questioned. You huffed, backing away as much as you could before you hit the wall.

"You're bad news," you growled, still not sparing him a glance. You wish you had your dagger. It might not be the best thing, but it'd still be better than trying to use hand-to-hand combat. Without it, there was nothing you could do.

Naraku said nothing. In fact, he was so quiet that you thought he had left. That was until he was right in front of you, gripping your chin and turning your head so you were looking at him.

Your eyes widened at the sudden touch, shoulders tense.

"You're going to be very useful to me. I wonder, how would Inuyasha feel when he sees one of his friends helping his worst enemy?" Naraku asked, smirking.

Naraku's POV

The girl's gaze filled with horror, amusing him greatly. He could tell from her tensed shoulders that him being so close to her made the girl uncomfortable.

Naraku let go and backed up slightly, allowing Y/n to look away. Her shoulders relaxed slightly. Naraku narrowed his eyes curiously. Was it just being touched that made her so tense? If it was just him being in the room, she wouldn't have relaxed as soon as he stepped back.

He left the room, glancing back at Y/n. He'd leave her alone for a bit longer, he needed some time to think. There was so much more to learn about the younger sister of Kagome Higurashi.
