Chapter 7

Sesshomaru's POV

Sesshomaru looked down at the fallen mortals with a huff. Jaken was at his side, throwing small insults at the dead soldiers.

"You fool," Sesshomaru growled, looking at Jaken through narrowed eyes. "This arm is already useless," he huffed, tearing the arm off and throwing it to the side.

"Yes, that is a vexing problem, isn't it?"

Sesshomaru turned around, finding the speaker hiding in a bush. The demon narrowed his eyes suspiciously, but didn't say a word.

"I couldn't help but listen to your conversation. Might I suggest this arm?" The newcomer continued, holding out a mortal arm.

"How dare you?! The arm comes from a mortal!" Jaken exclaimed, outraged. Sesshomaru glared at Jaken for a heartbeat before returning his gaze to the newcomer.

"Yes, it does," the newcomer acknowledged. "But it has a shard of the Shikon Jewel. If you take this arm, you will be able to wield the Tessaiga."

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes, but he took the arm and attached it to his shoulder, looking back at the newcomer as he spoke again.

"Here, take this hive. It will come in handy."

"Who are you? I would like to know the name of the one I make a pact with," Sesshomaru mused, taking the hive.

"My apologies," the newcomer said, placing his hand on his chest. "My name is Naraku."

Your POV

Some time had passed since the whole Spider Head ordeal, and things have been a little calmer lately.

Everyone has had time to heal, especially you and Inuyasha, so everyone was just in a better mood.

And as per usual, the five of you were now looking for a place to spend the night, since you, Kagome and Miroku were reluctant to sleep in the woods.

Miroku talked to the owner of the house, which you didn't pay attention to, and you were all lead to a room. Maybe you'd have a peaceful night for once...

(Later that night)

Sadly, your hopes of having a peaceful night were ruined when Sesshomaru came along. Him and Inuyasha talked for a bit, as always, before they began fighting.

Once more, Kagome held you back. Unlike last time, however, Sesshomaru got ahold of the Tessaiga and actually managed to hold it without being harmed.

He showed off to Inuyasha by using the Tessaiga to kill a hundred demons, and the two began fighting again.

Not long after, Kagome's grip on your wrists slackened before disappearing completely, and you rushed in to Inuyasha's aid.

(After the battle)

Miroku carried you in his arms while Kagome helped Inuyasha. You ended up with a slash in your right arm and a gash in your side. Inuyasha's shoulder was torn open, and there was a hole in his chest from Sesshomaru's poisonous claws.

You struggled to stay awake, since you didn't trust Miroku not to do anything, but you eventually fell unconscious.

Naraku's POV

The Saimyosho finally returned, dropping the Jewel shard into his hand.

Things were going just as Naraku had planned, and he'd soon have Y/n in his clutches. It was only going to get better from here.
