Kagome's POV

Kagome and Inuyasha had been staying with her family for a week now. She started talking again, but she still didn't feel like going back to the fuedal Era. Inuyasha often growled and fidgeted, but he didn't try to force her, which Kagome was thankful for.

But today, however, she felt much better. She now had the confidence to go back. She needed to find her sister and free her from Naraku's grip.

Kagome winced. Y/n... How was she doing? An entire week had passed. Had Naraku done something to her? Her heart beat fiercely in her chest, anxiety and adrenaline suddenly pumping through her veins.

Inuyasha seemed to sense her sudden urgency, and they left the house with a very quick 'goodbye' to her mom.

Together, the two jumped into the well, ending back up in fuedal Japan.

They hurried back to Kaede's house, curious as to what their friends had managed to come up with while they were gone.

Shippo's POV

Kagome and Inuyasha suddenly burst through the door, surprising everyone. Shippo noticed the fear and urgency on Kagome's face, surprised, though he said nothing.

He held back while Miroku and Sango explained the plan, his small ears perked gently. Kagome had a look of shock on her face. Clearly, she was expecting something better than to just keep collecting Jewel shards. Inuyasha on the other hand, nodded slightly. The half-demon understood that they needed to get stronger before they could go out looking for Y/n. Besides, they had no idea as to where Naraku was hiding.

In the end, Kagome reluctantly agreed with a huff. Shippo gave her a hug, though it didn't seem to help.

Afterwards, the five of them thanked Kaede and left. Shippo glanced over at Kagome, glad to see her energy had returned. They'd collect Jewel shards, and save Y/n from the horrible demon that was Naraku.

Your POV

You huddled in the corner, shaking slightly. It's been an entire week, though it felt like a year. Your ring no longer helped, and you had turned to scratching at your neck.

You knew it was an awful way to cope, but there was nothing more you could do. Your neck blazed with agony, though you were lucky not to have torn it open yet.

What surprised you the most, however, was that Naraku seemed to be avoiding you. You'd think that he would come back every day to torture you, but that fortunately was not the case.

However, your thoughts were interrupted when Naraku came in, his eyes narrowed. You stared up at him, not moving from the corner.

"Are you bleeding?" He asked, stepping inside the room and shutting the door behind him. You blinked, confused. Why would he ask that? Even better, why would he care?

Before you were able to come up with an answer he was right in front of you. Your eyes widened as he grabbed your wrists, placing them above your head and holding them there. Out of panic you turned your head, shutting your eyes tightly.

After a heart beat you opened them back up. Naraku still held your wrists, but he hadn't moved. For a split second nothing happened, but before you had time to react Naraku reached his hand up and grazed your neck with his fore and middle fingers.

You squeaked in surprise, fidgeting under his grip. However, you did notice the crimson blood on his fingers, and you mentally winced.

"You've torn your neck open," Naraku commented, staring at you.

"I know," you huffed, trying to ignore the fact that he still held onto your wrists. "I didn't mean to though."

"Do you know where you are, Y/n?" He questioned, clearly not bothered by the blood on his fingers.

"N-no," you stammered, shifting uncomfortably. "I know I'm in a dark room, but that's about it."

"Inuyasha hasn't come for you. Are you scared? Do you fear that they might never come?"

You blinked. Why was he asking all these random questions? And why was he still holding on to your wrists?!

"No," you answered, lifting your chin defiantly. You weren't going to let him scare you.

"You're going to be very useful to me," he whispered, suddenly closer. Your breath caught in your throat, your shoulders stiffening.

You could feel his breath on your neck, sending shivers down your spine. You no longer knew what to say. Your mind screamed at you to do something, to push him away, but you couldn't move. Panic made you freeze, and you felt as though this would never end.

Suddenly, it hit you. "You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?" You murmured. "That's why you didn't come. You knew this would happen."

"Heh, you're a smart girl Y/n," he smirked, backing away enough to where you were looking into his eyes.

"You-" you paused. "Why?! What are you hoping to gain from this?!" You clenched your teeth, forcing back tears that threatened to spill as you squeezed your eyes shut.

Naraku's POV

Naraku stared at the panicked girl, a small smirk on his face. However, he didn't think she'd react quite that bad.

His gaze looked back at her neck, noticing that it was still slightly bleeding. He let go of her left hand, still keeping a firm grip on her right, and stood up, forcing the girl to her legs.

Your POV (Again)

You drew in a breath, waiting for Naraku to let go of your wrist, but he never did.

Instead, he kept a firm hold on it and walked over to the door, glancing back at you.

"What are we doing?" You asked as he grabbed the door handle.

"Getting you bandaged up," he replied, turning the handle and pushing the door open.

You stared at his back, confused. Was he trying to calm you down just to make things worse later? You weren't sure, but you knew that things could only get better or worse from here.
