In which you two meet on Sakaar (Part 1)

I was attending yet another one of Grandmaster's stupid fighting events. My father forced me to come, he spoke something of his friendship with the Grandmaster and keeping the peace between them. I don't understand what that has to do with me, but oh well.

I wore a white lace dress that reached the floor. It had straps at the shoulders that cut off into pagoda sleeves. Honestly this was my favorite dress. I felt royal in it.

I sat in the stands of the arena after what felt like hours of receiving compliments from my father's associates and their companions. I faked my interest, tired of having to converse with them.

It was the same bullshit over and over. The Grandmaster invites us, I get hounded with compliments and women trying to set me up with their sons just to get to my father and his riches, Hulk wins against whatever competitor he's against, and I have to hear about my father and his business ventures with people I do not care about on the way home.

I'm honestly bored of it.

Maybe this time I should actually take up a gentleman suitor's advances. Just for the excitement.

"Come meet my daughter," I heard my father's voice. "She's right over here."

I looked back to see my father with quite a handsome man. He had long black hair and wore a green suit that fit him nicely. He was tall and slim and his mannerisms were that of a man with class. Rich guy maybe?

Y/e/c eyes met blue as I stood, not once taking them off of him. He looked like fun entertainment.

"Loki Laufeyson, this is Y/n," my father spoke.

"Lovely to meet such a beautiful woman." He charmed as he shook my hand.

"Thank you, sir." I put on my shy girl act for my father. I couldn't let him know I was an absolute slut for men like Loki.

"May I have a seat beside you?" He asked politely. I nodded as an answer.

He sat in the seat next to the one I was sitting in and I followed behind him. My father gladly left our section where we were to finally be alone.

"Loki," I tried his name out on my lips. "You don't seem like you're from around here."

"I'm not," he licked his beautiful lips. "I'm from Asgard."

"What's Asgard?" I asked.

"The head of the nine realms. I'm not exactly sure which realm this planet is on. I've only just gotten here maybe a week ago."

"So that's why I've never seen you before."

"Maybe you have," he leaned over a bit. "You could've just forgotten my face."

I leaned closer, our faces now only inches apart. "I'd never forget a face like that."

His mischievous smile only drew me in more. Something told me that Loki wasn't just an ordinary man. There was something dark and brooding about him. Something that made me burn to know him more.

"Ladies and gentlemen," the Grandmaster's voice interrupted our stare down. "I give you Korg the Kronan."

The fight started and Loki paid attention intently. I couldn't help but look over at him a couple of times throughout. He was just so handsome. Unlike any other creature I've seen on this godforsaken planet.

The fight drew on for longer than it usually does. I could hear my father in the stand above us, cheering loudly and conversing with other rich snobs. I wondered if Loki was the type of man that my father was. Cruel and selfish.

"Let's get out of here, Y/n," he spoke without looking at me.

"The real fight hasn't even begun," I spoke as he stood. "This is the warmup. Are you sure-"

He cut into my sentence. "Positive."

He looked down at me and extended his hand for me to take. I took it without hesitation and let him lead me out of the section. I didn't even ask where he was leading me, I simply let him.

We ran through the halls of the palace, dodging questions from those we passed. I started tripping on my dress as Loki kicked up his speed. He noticed and picked me up bridal style and continued to run.

"Loki, where are we going?" I asked as he ran.

"A place I wish home resembled." He answered. I was confused on what that meant but I let it go and decided to just let him take me.

I don't know what it is that made me trust him so quickly. Honestly if he were any other man, I'd be scared that he was kidnapping me. But something made me think the opposite about Loki.

Finally he stopped in front of a door. He gently let me down and opened the door. Inside of the room was a giant concave glass window that stretched from wall to wall. Looking out of it, you can see the entire city. The scraps and trash that land here and the people that scatter.

"You wish your home resembled a trash land?" I asked as I stared down below. He simply chuckled as his hand lifted my chin from behind.

"Up there." He spoke.

From the sky, you could see the illumination of other stars and planets as they filled the sky with colors. It looked like a painting. How had I never thought to just simply look above me? I could now finally see why Loki liked this spot. It gave light to the only beautiful part about this planet.

"Why did you come with me?" He asked. I looked at him and simply shrugged.

"You told me to." I stated. That grin that I've grown fond of in such a short time appeared on his perfectly chiseled face.

"Do you always do as you're told?" He leaned down slightly. "Even to strangers?"

As he leaned down, I took in everything about him. From his height to his posture, to his features, to his smell. He smelled of vanilla. A simple smell, but definitely my new favorite. I know I keep commenting on his looks, but I can't help it.

The men on Sakaar are just ugly compared to this man. No wonder he's from another planet.

"Where is it you were from again, Loki?" I completely ignored his question, asking one of my own instead.

"Asgard." He answered.

"So why are you here?"

He seemed taken aback by my question. "Let's just say family can be a pain in the ass."

"Family?" I raised my brow. "You left your planet because of a family squabble?"

"I didn't exactly leave by choice," he turned his body to the window and stared out of it as he talked. "I was stranded here after my sister came back from Hel."

My confused face only make him chuckle. "I should have you back before your father has my head." He turned to walk away, but I grabbed his arm.

"Or we could have some fun." I suggested. His eyebrows rose in curiosity.

"Follow me." I said.

"Will you carry me?" He asked, only earning a giggle in response.
