In which it's love at first sight

I walked beside my old teammates Steve, Nat, Sam, Bruce, Rhodey, Wanda, and Vision to meet with the king of Wakanda.

The entire ride, Steve was practically jumping out of his seat, excited to see his old best friend Bucky Barnes. I almost had to slap him to get him to calm down, but it was nice seeing his smile after two years of not seeing him.

Of course he'd secretly come to visit me just to make sure I was okay, but it was always a small visit that would last only about 10 minutes. I forgot how annoying it was to travel with the guy.

We each walked off the plane, Nat and Steve at either of my side. I almost choked when I saw the tall almost godly looking man walking toward us. I hadn't ever seen the king of Wakanda in person.

Only when helping Bucky and Steve get to the plane in Bucharest, but he had his suit on the entire time. I hadn't ever seen how gorgeous he was in person.

"Seems like I'm always thanking you for something," Cap says to the king. I couldn't help but stare at him. His chocolate brown skin and it's almost golden glow in the sunlight, enchanting brown eyes that looked like pools of honey, his full lips that I watched as he talked back to Steve, his low rumbling voice accompanied by his adorable accent.

I was pretty much swooning over him when his eyes flickered to mine for a second before he turned.

"How big of an assault should we expect?" He asked.

Bruce tapped me, wanting me to answer.

"Uh," I fumbled. "Sir, I think you should expect quite a big assault."

I mentally cursed myself for stuttering. And why the fuck did I call him sir? I'm pretty sure we're about the same age. God, I'm so stupid.

Nat tapped me, in a teasing manner. I guess she could tell how nervous I was. She hooked her arm in mine as we walked.

"How we looking?" Nat asked.

I didn't pay much attention to what the king was saying. I was just so mesmerized by his voice. How eloquent he was with his words.

All I heard was another voice cut him off.

"... and a semi-stable 100-year-old man."

Bucky Barnes walked toward us and I swear Steve's entire world fell apart. They immediately hugged, which was the cutest reunion ever.

During all of this, I couldn't help but to see the king eyeing me out of the corner of my eye.

The king brought us all to his sister, Shuri to check out Vision's head. I stood beside Steve, nervous about what Shuri and Bruce were saying. It was all sciency talk that I didn't fully understand.

The king was on the other side of me and I may have been sneaking glances at him. Its the end of the world and I'm developing a crush. Typical Y/n.

I looked another time and found him already looking at me. I sent him a small smile which he returned.

"Can you do it?" Wanda asked Shuri.

"Yes, but there are more than two trillion neurons here," she said. "One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures."

She looked to the king. "It'll take time, brother."

"How long?" Steve asked.

"As long as you can give me,"

The King's army general, Okoye's Kimoyo beads started to blare an alarm. They showed us a holographic live video of Earth. There was a giant spaceship coming down on us.
