In which she has trouble with her confidence.. until you show her otherwise
It was another day in the Avengers compound and there was no mission that day. It was pretty hot so we decided to have an easy pool day seeing as all of us having an off day was a rare occurrence.
I went back to my room, showered and put on the red bikini that Nat had gotten me for my birthday. Why she got it for me? I have no idea, but it came in handy this day.
I didn't hear it when someone opened my door and walked in.
"Y/n?" Wanda walked into my room as I walked out of my bathroom. Her eyes landed on my body and lingered there for a second before she cleared her throat and closed the door behind her.
"Can I talk to you about something?" She asked.
"Anything," I said on the bed and patted the spot next to me, telling her to sit down. "What's wrong?"
Her and I had kind of started this thing. It started with a kiss on Steve's birthday, aka Fourth of July. And now we have this unofficial and unspoken about relationship that consists of lots of kissing and cuddling.
To me, it was fine, but I was scared that she'd finally decided to end it.
She swallowed and came to sit next to me. She didn't sit as close as she usually does. She was almost hesitant to sit anywhere near me. Her body language told me that she was nervous about something.
Her hands were together in between her legs and she wouldn't look at me.
"I don't exactly know if I want to go swimming today," she said careful of her words.
"Why?" I asked.
"I'm feeling," she struggled to find the right words. "Insecure."
I looked at her in disbelief. What would Wanda, the literal picture of perfection have to be insecure about?
"About what?" I asked.
"My body," she looked down. "My brother and I, we weren't just given powers after one experiment. We were almost taken apart and that left... scars."
She wouldn't look at me when she talked. I stood and grabbed her hand from her lap. I took her to my bathroom and closed the door behind us.
"Show me." I told her.
"Y/n, I-" I cut her off.
"Show me what you're insecure about."
She hesitated, but eventually took a breath and removed her plain white v-neck from her body. She stood in just her jeans and a bra and it took everything in me not to tackle her to the ground.
She was absolutely sexy. The scars that decorated her stomach just made her look more badass. They were beautiful. Just like her.
I slowly kneeled as she stared at me in confusion. There was one scar that stood out in particular. It stretched from the bottom of her hip to the top of her jeans line. I grabbed her waist and lightly kissed along it, making her smile in the process.
"It's beautiful," I told her and stood. "You're beautiful. And there nothing to be ashamed of."
"Thank you, Y/n." She walked closer and gave me a short and sweet kiss on the lips.
"At least you're not Clint, he has a giant mole on his ass cheek."
She bursted out laughing which made me smile. I loved how easy it was for me to make her laugh.
"Now go get changed and meet me back in here." I told her.
She nodded and walked out of my room without a shirt. I was almost tempted to give it to her, but Steve's confused face as he walked by my door was reason enough not to.
