Recap:

“You were the one that interrupted! Anyway when the panic settled in me I knew we were going to die and something woke up within us because there was some kind of shield, like a haze…”

“Wait, was that haze by any chance a dark blue color and gold?” Lucienne exclaimed going a little pail.

“Stop interrupting … hey your right it was, why?”

“Because” she sighed “Because I saw it too”

CHAPTER 4

ZOEY’S POV

I couldn’t believe my ears, but I didn’t stop there. I kept recounting detail by detail how the accident happened right until we blacked out, I also included how I knew we were going to be taken to a school for kids with special powers.

“And no longer after we had blacked out, the dark started reforming in to some kind of control central and on a monitor they had a big atlas-kind map. It had little pinpoints of light all over the globe but soon a tiny piece of it skyrocketed and or faces popped up along with a total bio of us, the word undetermined was flashing and soon turned too confirmed on both of our faces. The person manning the central monitor picked up the phone and Agent Scott appeared out of thin air in a couple of seconds, I couldn’t hear what they were saying but I saw the guy give Agent Scott a big file and there was a pamphlet peeking out of it and it read “ Navitas Tractatori: Boarding School”

Lucienne has turned paler and paler with each word that came out of my mouth, but I couldn’t stop until she understood, something within me knew that I didn’t need her thinking I was crazy, we had to stick together, like we’ve always had.

“So what I’m trying to say is that now it’s only the two of us and please please don’t hate me, I knew about it and didn’t tell you, I just thought it was some weird dream and….”

“Stop it!!” She leaned over and hugged me, tucking me head under her chin in the process “This isn’t your fault, hell, I would have done the same thing if I were in your place, and your right, we do have to stick together if we’re going to some kind of weird non-human school,  better keep an eye on our backs”

Happy tears welled in my eyes as I hugged her back. And suddenly a thought occurred to me.

“Hey, you accepted this way too fast, I mean I’m glad you believe me but frankly I wouldn’t believe me not in my right senses”

Huffing she scooted back and away from me and trained her now hazel eyes on me. “Remember when we hacked in to my dad’s study computer?” I only nodded in response; we had found some really disturbing files were we proved our theory that our dad’s weren’t your ordinary middle aged parents. “Well after we almost got caught and you had left for home I hacked in to it again and read some of the reports, some of the things those bad dudes could do didn’t seem normal, I mean come on, who the hell can jump of a moving train in to a passing truck filled with charcoal without even a limp?”

“Umm James Bond?” I said without resolve.

She gave me one of her I-am –questioning-your-sanity looks. “James Bond is a magnificent FICTIONAL operative and a hot one at that, stop making my head have ADD thoughts and focus. My point is, some people out there aren’t your average human and it’s possible were like them”

“Ok ok I get it, so were on the same page, so what are we going to do when scary guy comes back?” I asked worriedly.

“Couldn’t you be a little bit more original” Lucienne asked with a trace of a smirk. Slapping her arm I scolded her. “Stop judging my nicknames and focus”
