Recap:

“Just be grateful I’m not making you wash dishes.” Lucienne blanched at the prospect. She hated washing dishes with a passion. Zoey laughed at her reaction.

“Come on, you can make breakfast while I get ready, maybe that will make me lighten your sentence.” Lucienne groaned good naturedly as they both headed back to their dorm. One girl worried about her next date and the other still had a pair of silvery blue eyes fresh on her mind.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

“Oh my God, I can’t believe this is actually happening!”  Lucienne and Zoey looked at each other with twin masks of horror as they watched the woman who they supposed was their Rituals and Spells teacher gush at them. The worse part? The bell had rung about 5 minutes ago and they seemed to be the only two people in her class.

“Is this Lab #3?” Zoey asked as she composed herself, Lucienne had a little bit more trouble with whipping the disbelief of her face and that wasn’t just because of the disgustingly enthusiastic welcome they had received but by the overall appearance of the teacher.

After all it’s not every day you see an almost 6 ft. woman with round tortoise shell glasses and clothes that had seen a better day, presumably in the 60’s. Hell, Lucienne thought, she looked straight out of a Harry Potter movie (i.e. Professor Sybill Trelawney)

“Oh I didn’t think I would live to see this moment… Two spell casters in the flesh! But there hasn’t been

Any spell casters in the world in years …”

“Excuse me?” Lucienne raised her voice trying to stop the woman’s schizophrenia like ramble.

“…well maybe not in the world, there’s that girl in England but her powers haven’t been the same, not after the accident, that spell gone horribly wrong…”

“Excuse me?!”

“Ohh the possibilities, maybe we can win the Spring Equinox games next year…”

“Excuse me?!!!!” Lucienne practically yelled, successfully breaking the erratic woman from her trance.

“Yes dear?”

“Do you teach this class or not?”

“Oh how silly of me, I forgot to introduce myself, I’m Ms. Jenkins … but please call me Genesis…Oh for Pete’s sake, give me a second would you dears?” And just like that as if she did it every day she literally pulled at her face and two distorted versions of her appeared from the severed chunks. Zoey let out a high pitched scream while Lucienne pulled her behind her.

“Look at what you have done! You scared them you brute.” The Ms. Jenkins that had enormous eyes cried.

“Oh please they are spell casters they’re not afraid of anything….” The Ms. Jenkins with the bee-stung lips started saying in a loud, obnoxious voice.

“Enough!” The original Ms. Jenkins ordered. The two versions of herself were shrunk and spirited away in to two lab beacons with a flurry of colors.

“Sorry about that, being a multiple-persona prodigy does have its drawbacks.” Both girls rubbed at their eyes and pinched each other’s arms, trying to make sure that they weren’t dreaming.

“Are they more of, well, ‘yous’?”  Lucienne asked, still a little bit out of it.

“Yeah, those two are just the most annoying of them; if I hadn’t let them out they would be crawling all over my skin later.” Ms. Jenkins frowned at the thought. “But enough about me please take your seats ladies.”
