Recap:

“This will be our first day to a new school without our parents seeing us out you know” I told Zoey in a quiet voice.

“I know” she said with a bittersweet smile.

I reached my arm out to her and she took it, together we made our way out and looked up. Walking down the hall and in to the common many heads turned towards our direction but we ignored them, first we had to get a hang of this school, then we could make friends. Kingsley ha told us the commute to the school building would take 5 minutes (Apparently EVERY building had some forest in between) so we hopped in to one of the buses full of curious girls and waited to officially welcome Navitas Tractatori High.

ZOEY’S POV

To say this school was not-so normal would be an understatement. When we arrived at the school building the first thing we did was head to the office to pick up our schedules but we were blocked by a gleeful looking boy peering inside to the office holding a notebook and an artist’s pen. Lucienne frowned at him but merely pushed him aside and peeked a look inside the glass door. I watched as various emotions played over her face; first there was a twinge of annoyance, then there was shock and last a look of utter disbelief.

Seeing as she had only made enough space at the door for herself I had to stand on tiptoes to watch over her shoulder at what was the most bizarre thing I had ever seen. Inside the office most of the office staff were perched atop of their work chairs thanks to the bunch of singing rats and mice that were milling around, the weirdest thing was that they all seem to be made out of what appeared to be notebook paper…

Lucienne seemed to catch on to what was happening quickly because soon she was bursting in to the room making the not-so gleeful boy tumble in to the room. Not a second later her ring flashed a dark blue and the animated paper drawing were flung in to the air and ripped in half.

“You!” One of the younger staff ladies shrieked.

The boy looked up with a horror struck expression from his place on the floor but before he could bail out of there the woman streaked forward crossing the room and over the reception desk with an in-human speed and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.

“Oh I’ve got you now, let’s wait and see to what the vice-principal will say about this” she said with a satisfied gloat, without delay she tugged the terrified looking boy outside towards the hall.

Everyone started climbing down there chairs as Lucienne approached the receptionist.

“Hello, I’m Lucienne Lucnar and this is my friend Zoey Sunniva and were here to pick up our schedules if you don’t mind”

“Oh dear me of course, sorry for the disturbance, little Ivan is always causing trouble for his sister Eloise, that’s the woman who dragged him out of here.” The receptionist explained while rummaging around a file cabinet. “Found them, here are your schedules and the keys to your lockers. Attached to them you will find a map of the high school campus as well as one of the whole school, if you have any questions you can come back any time and I will explain just look for Miss Kathy”

Ring Ring

“Uh that’s the warning bell, hurry up girls only 5 minutes till your first class, have a nice day now”

“Thank you” we said in unison as we dashed out not wanting to be late on our first day. Glancing down at my schedule I couldn’t help but find it astonishing.
