Recap:
"Ventos caeli, tenebrosa abyssus, et lumen cæli, et indomabili corde animas! (Winds to the sky, Darkness to the abyss, Light to the heavens and unyielding souls to our hearts!)" Brain had to rub his eyes to make sure that he was seeing correctly, because when the girls finished the spell two flashes that he recognized as the hazes their abilities first manifested in surged out of each of their chests that hit the Grimoire, splitting it in two.
"Ita dictum, ut fiat. (So it has been spoken, so it shall be done)" Two unidentified female voices pronounced as the two spell casters descended each one with one of the split Grimoires, their eyes turning back to normal.
"League of Legends has nothing on you two now." Brain exclaimed as both girls gave him and the books they now held confused looks.

"What do you think of having macaroni &cheese for dinner?" Zoey rummaged in the fridge for the ingredients she would need to prepare their late dinner since it was already 7 p.m. as Lucienne kept leafing thru her Grimoire, her mind trying to catch up with all the information that the book contained. At first when they had opened them they had found the pages blank, but after some meddling around they had found out they only needed to think about something they wanted to do, let's say grow a tomato, and the correct spell would appear in perfectly legible English, much to Brain delight, as he could now make his own database on the spells the Grimoires contained, furthering his research on spell casters in general.
"I'm going for a walk; I'll be back in a bit." Lucienne announced as she got up from the armchair beside the fireplace and stretched like a cat. Zoey frowned at her words.
"You're going for a walk at 7 at night, in the woods, in your pj's and most of all alone?" Lucienne seemed to consider her words as she frowned down at her minions pajama bottoms, loose grey sweater and thick mismatched socks.
"I don't think the fashion police will give me a ticket for going out in my pj's at night." Zoey opened her mouth to protest but Lucienne's was already downing her jacket.
"Chill Zo, there's no big bad wolf out there to eat me. I'll be back before dinner. That way I'll be able to eat your disgustingly low-on-cheese dish." Zoey snorted, seeing no way she could convince her friend to stay.
"If you get to go out without me having a say in it you might as well now I'm going out with Louka tomorrow." Now it was Lucienne's turn to frown as she put on her well-worn brown ankle hiking boots.
"Who's Louka?"
"Remember that cute blond Australian boy that's in British history and abilities class with us?"
"Ah, bunny boy." Lucienne grinned mischievously as she opened the door with her Grimoire in hand. "That explains the low fat mac & chee...." Lucienne cut herself off as she closed the door, barely missing the box of pasta Zoey threw at her way. Shaking her head as she laughed at her friend, Lucienne headed out of the dorms and in to the woods. She was hoping to clear her head a bit from all of the things that had happened in the last couple of weeks, including her family's death. Because even if she tried to hide it she still missed them and she sure didn't want Zoey to get depressed if she started crying.

It seemed it just hadn't been Nathaniel's week and he wasn't even half way thru with it. He was currently taking inventory, trying to decide what had been the thing that had made it so bad.
