Recap:

“Shut it Hammer or I’ll …”

“Brain…” Lucienne called in an evil sing song voice making him sigh and look at Zoey for help.

“Don’t look at me, who says you haven’t done the same to my ring.”

“I installed a communication device no big… Jeshh stop looking at me like that. Ok I found something you two may be interested in, where can I meet you?”

“Slow your horses, it all depends on what it is.”

“I found a spell book, a Grimoire, the thing is, it has both your last names on it.”

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

“What does fried grasshopper flavor even taste like?” Zoey asked disgusted.

“Beats me, I for one like my ice cream without weird insect legs sticking out of it.” The twins had taken Zoey and Lucienne to a little ice cream shop in what the twins called the mall but was actually more of a small village shop with the vintage vibe it carried. They were browsing the flavors the ice cream shop served and they were getting weirded out by the second with the twins laughing at the faces they were pulling.

“Ok that’s it, if you guys don’t have rocky road in this place I’m bailing.” Lucienne huffed as she made a face at something called frogs vomit.

“You know it works when you don’t look at the Physical type’s ice cream choices.” (i.e. these abilities are based on the bodies of humans, animals, and other living things, and appear in the form of a pheromone or physical ability: Environment sensor sensibility, human pheromone, shape shifting, etc. P.S. Some shape shifters tend to prefer the eating habits of the animal they can change in to.) The shop clerk suggested helpfully, Joshua snickered at the girls as Jason ate from a big mint chocolate chip flavored waffle ice cream cone. Joshua was holding a similar cone but with cookie dough ice cream flavor. Before Lucienne could murder Joshua, Zoey snapped her fingers and Joshua’s ice cream flew in to his face making everyone except Joshua crack up.

“What did you do that for?” Jason still laughing was helping his twin wipe his face.

“You shouldn’t laugh at us, we are new to this and you’re taking advantage of it.” Zoey replied smoothly as she ordered a black cherry flavored ice cream.

“And moments like that remind me why were such best friends.” Lucienne smiled deviously as she ordered her rocky road ice cream and Joshua begrudgingly paid the bill. Just then Brain came in to the ice cream shop.

“You won’t believe what….” Brain cut himself off as he noticed that the twins were still with the girls. “Umhh, can we talk about this in a more private place?”

“I can get the hint thank you, see you girls tomorrow!” Jason said cutting his twin off from whatever hateful thing he was going to say as he dragged him out of the ice cream shop.

“You really know how to clear a room don’t you.” Lucienne commented as she wiped ice cream of her chin.

“I don’t care this is important, come on lets got to the lab.”

“Wait, before we go, can we go to the grocery store?” Zoey asked.

“I have evidence that may turn your whole world upside down, more than it already has, and you want to go grocery shopping?” Brain exclaimed perplexed.

“I just remembered we didn’t buy ice cream...” Zoey started sheepishly while Lucienne grinned around her ice cream content whit leaving the drama to them.

“You can order it online and they will deliver it, come on!”

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

“Are you retarded? You made me spill my ice cream.” Lucienne pouted as they entered Brains lab, he didn’t even acknowledge her as he motioned to a big round table he had besides his desk filled with books and vials filled with strange colored liquids, in the center a big old book sat opened thru the middle. Zoey started leafing thru it and found something odd about it.

“Why is this blank?”

“That’s the thing, it wasn’t. I was looking around in the library and…”

“We have a library?” Lucienne popped her eyes like an owls, the sugar in the ice cream finally getting to her.

“Stop interrupting! Anyway I was at the library doing research on the spell casters thru the ages and I brought a bunch of books back with me, this one included. It caught my eye because apart from a wide range of spells it explains how even though technically every spell caster should be able to cast any kind of spell the type of spells they can cast depends on the spell casters power and on their affinity. Some are better at water spells, some are better at healing spells; the list goes on and on. Since I still had a little bit of your blood samples left from when we identified you I used it to try and pinpoint what your affinity could be even though I already had a bit of an idea what it might be. Long story short, I dropped a little bit of your blood on the book by accident and your last names popped up on the pages. I cleaned it and poof! They were gone and the pages all turned blank.”

Lucienne frowned and tried taking the book from Zoey so she could examine it more closely, but when both their hands touched the pages there was a pulse of energy so big that it turned all of the lights out as well as knock them all off their feet making Lucienne and Zoey drop it so they could break there fall; the Grimoire, as Brain had called it, never touched the ground. Slowly, it started rising until it reached eyelevel as words shadowed in light started appearing were the book had been left open.

“What does it say?” Brain said, his voice trembling a little at the end. Lucienne and Zoey got up and approached the Grimoire slowly. They took a look at it and after nodding at each other, a means of communication only best friends can use, they started reading.

“Lorem Apocalypsi filias; dimittam potentias ad suos heredes iuris (We are the daughters of the Apocalypse; release your powers to us, the rightful heirs) …” Their magical circles appeared under them lighting up the room. In an instant they started floating upward, their circles being the floor. Their eyes didn’t even look human anymore since they didn’t contain any pupil as they kept reciting the ancient spell; Lucienne’s eyes turning in to a midnight blue while Zoey’s eyes turned a dark gold, Brain almost pissed himself from the auras of power that surrounded both girls as there words were laced with a double echoed voice, almost as if other two people were chanting with them.

“Ventos caeli, tenebrosa abyssus, et lumen cæli, et indomabili corde animas! (Winds to the sky, Darkness to the abyss, Light to the heavens and unyielding souls to our hearts!)” Brain had to rub his eyes to make sure that he was seeing correctly, because when the girls finished the spell two flashes that he recognized as the hazes their abilities first manifested in surged out of each of their chests that hit the Grimoire, splitting it in two.

“Ita dictum, ut fiat. (So it has been spoken, so it shall be done)” Two unidentified female voices pronounced as the two spell casters descended each one with one of the split Grimoires, their eyes turning back to normal.

“League of Legends has nothing on you two now.” Brain exclaimed as both girls gave him and the books they now held confused looks.
