I rushed over to them and hugged the two tightly. "You came just at the right time."

"Is everything okay?" Rusla whispered.

"I'll tell you later," I replied with a lowered voice and pulled away. "Are you alright? Did the trolls catch up to you?"

Hertha shook her head. "No, we were too fast for them. I remembered Rusla going in a nearer direction, I found her four days after our ways parted. She had seen you head north, so we decided to take our chances and searched through the woods. When we were out, we noticed the mountain valley and figured you must have followed them to Kaer Morhen - And we were right!"

"I'm so glad to see you both - Do you want to eat something? Bathe?"

Hertha shook her head. "Can't, we're needed in Taalen. We'll tell you later." She added as she saw my concerned look and threw a knowing look over to the Witchers who were approaching them. "Coen! Haven't seen your ugly face in a while!"

Traveling around the continent and hopping from one hunting job to the other, you'll meet a Witcher sooner or later because they're out there for the same reason. The interaction can be dreadful because of the competition but there have been other occurrences as well that lead into other directions.

Rusla and Hertha had met all of the Witchers at Kaer Morhen once before. It was nice to see them greet each other, catching up and laughing together but I wanted to get away from here as soon as possible - Especially after the hints Hertha had dropped.

Vesemir invited them for a stay, but my sisters declined thankfully, explaining that they were just here to collect me and actually needed to be on the horses as soon as possible - duty was calling for us.

While they were talking about what Nilfgaard would be up to next, I rushed upstairs to collect my things. I literally threw everything into the saddlebags before making my bed and placing everything back to how I found it. Two minutes later, it looked like I hadn't been here all week. I returned to the big hall after gathering my weapons from the basement, ready to leave.

"I hope I can return the favour of having you as our guests one day. Thank you for everything." I smiled at Vesemir as I closed the clasp of my green cape. "Our door is always open and the Light is on."

"May it never go out."

"Skjaldmærs and their weird sayings ..." Lambert shook his head jokingly. "Just tell her good luck and safe travels! Which is what I'm wishing her!"

I laughed. "Thanks, Lambert."

"Speaking of: Do you need a healing potion before you go?" The old Witcher asked concerned. "Geralt said your wound might still need some support. Or maybe stay for another few days? We have the space for it and we're always glad to have some company."

"It's nearly healed, but thank you." I looked around the room. "We should take our leave now."

Coen looked over to Rusla and Hertha. "And we really can't convince you to stay? Get your energy up, relax a bit ..."
