31 | The Black Dragons

"Y/N-chan?"

You slowly picked up your phone, staring at it for a moment. "Where... Where are you right now?"

"Um, on our way to his house...?"

"Oh... I see. Have... fun with that."

You closed your phone and shoved it into your pocket, immediately sprinting out of the cafe you were in with Emma and sped down the sidewalk. Takemichi gets hurt, nothing new... shameless, but true. Hina gets hurt, someone else will be.

"So, you're the vice captain of the second division, right?" Takemichi began. "That means you get along with your captain?"

"Unfortunately, yeah." Hakkai smiled. "Taka-chan is always on my tail. He's drilled me on how cool and how uncool delinquents can be. Annoying, right? That guy... he's like a real older brother to me."

Yuzuha, Hakkai's older sister, scoffed and looked back at the two. "He likes Mitsuya way too much. Look at his standby screen." She displayed Hakkai's phone in front of her. "It's a picture of Mitsuya. While mine is of him!!"

Takemichi held a dumbfound expression, looking between the siblings, both obsessed with someone, one outwardly, one not so obvious.

A revving engine echoed sounded through the streets and a familiar gang drove up.

"If it isn't our young master." A boy a bit older than Takemichi made his presence clear, walking through the gang with his arms outstretched as if he were a villain in a superhero movie.

"Koko..." Hakkai mumbled.

His eyes flickered towards Takemichi and Hina. "Hm? Who are these two?"

Takemichi got into a fighting stance, standing in front of Hina.

"I've seen him before." One of the Black Dragons members walked up to Koko. "He's Toman's First Division captain."

Koko glared at the two, his teeth bared as if he were just insulted. "There's a Toman member on our turf? Trying to screw with us?" He paused for a moment, letting other members of the notorious gang close in on Takemichi and Hina. "Don't think you're leaving here in one piece, asshole."

"Hey! Takemitchy's my buddy." Hakkai warned, although it wasn't heeded well.

"Hakkai..." Koko dragged out. "Even friends of our young master need to be taught a lesson, because our gang won't listen to you." All this was said with his cat-like grin held on his face. Mischievous, it was.

"I told you to back off."

With that firm statement, Hakkai grabbed one of the Black Dragons' heads and slammed it to the road with ease. "Sorry for getting you involved in this, Takemitchy. The boss of the Black Dragons is Taiju Shiba."

"He's our big brother." Yuzuha explained.

"Where's Taiju now?"

With a momentary pause, although it may have been out of spite, Koko answered, "At the convenience store."

"He's hardly ever home.... Except for things like this. Pain in the ass..."

Immediately, another member, Inupi, held a blade to Hakkai's neck. "Hey. Watch your mouth, asshole. Talk bad about our boss and I'll kill you."

But before a drop of blood could be shed, Inupi faced a kick to his head and he stumbled over.

"Get away from my little brother." Yuzuha commanded.
