"Y/N?"

You flinched and turned, seeing Chifuyu standing behind you with an umbrella and a confused look on his face, his head tilted. "What are you doing out in the rain? Without an umbrella?"

"I was just out getting some stuff for... myself, and I forgot to check the weather forecast. So, here we are."

He sighed and walked closer to you. "Come, I'll walk you home."

"Wait, aren't you going somewhere?"

"I'm headed to Takemitchy's. Your house is on the way, yeah?" You nodded in response, looking down at the ground in thought. Is Takemichi back? He didn't call me. Is he okay?

"The hell is that?"

"What?" You looked up and to where Chifuyu was looking, and both of you came to a stop. Someone was aggressively punching a tire and yelling to himself in the rain, with nothing but their hood over their head.

You and Chifuyu looked at each other and he gave you his umbrella. "Here, you can give it back to me later."

"Y/N, goodness!" Your mom ran up to your soaking wet figure, immediately taking off your water filled jacket and urging you to take off your shoes. "Your literal footsteps are making sloshing noises! What were you thinking?!"

"Sorry, I didn't check the weather forecast." You took off your shoes and placed them on the side. "...Mom, do you remember Izana?"

She stopped in her tracks. "Isn't that the kid that you and Shinichiro used to visit?"

"Yeah... it is."

You couldn't predict the future. You had to see it before you could predict it, but you could at least plan for it. And yet... you didn't accept the fact that Izana might be the one that brought Mikey into darkness.

You didn't even know if Mikey was brought into darkness in the first place. Maybe you were just dead, and Mikey had nothing to do with it.

Ha... even I don't believe that. It always has something to do with Mikey.

"I'm going to go take a shower." You walked upstairs without hearing your mom's response and shut yourself in the washroom.

You leaned your back on the door, closing your eyes to let in all the sounds you could, just to try and shut out your thoughts, even for just a moment:

Raindrops.

Footsteps.

Running water.

A cat.

Wait. You looked to your feet and saw Tora between your legs, barely fitting enough to not touch either of your legs. "How... are you even in here?" You picked him up and he stared at you with his huge yellow eyes.

"Right. You cause as much trouble as Keisuke did, do you know that?" You put him down and sat down right next to where he decided to lie.

Hakkai, Chifuyu, Draken... Mitsuya's probably dead as well. I was probably killed just before him.

"Tora, you've met Mikey before, right?" You scratched his chin and he nuzzled into your palm, his eyes closing in delight. "Did he give off a bad vibe to you?"
