"Hey."
You glanced at the door and Emma met your gaze, smiling and taking a seat next to you on the porch. "Do they still hurt?"
"No, they're numb now." You patted the bandages around your forearm.
"Thanks for helping us put away our old things. I'm surprised it took us this long to get rid of everything."
You hummed and rested your arms on your knees. The evening sky held your attention, despite Emma's never ending beauty that you always told Draken to compliment.
Another day.
"Y/N," Emma began, following your gaze. "When are you free?"
"Hm?"
"Like, when do you have time?"
You thought. "This Saturday. Why?"
"You should come to the park near the river!" She grinned, just as bright as it normally was, and skipped back into the house.
You stared at the sun as it seemed to settle its spot in the sky one last time until the moon decides to take its place. The park near the river...

"Where are you headed?" Your mom questioned, watching you take your place in your shoes. "It's nearly sunset."
"I know, but Mikey will be with me, I'll be fine."
"You do know you're still healing up."
"Yeah, but Emma asked me."
"Ah," Your mom placed her hand on her hip. "see, then it's complicated if it was Emma who asked you."
Your dad looked back and forth between the two of you. "Who's Emma?"
"A Goddess." You slowly tied your shoelaces, careful not to undo your bandages, and bolted out the door with a quick, "Bye!"
It felt different to be riding your own motorcycle, down to a park you've visited a thousand times before. It was all different and you couldn't figure out why.
"Don't you look comfortable on your new ride?" Draken observed with a curled lip once you arrived.
"I do, thank you very much." You flapped your arms a bit to let your sleeves fall over your hands. "It's kind of chilly. Why do you guys always decide to meet up when it's late?"
"It's more empty at this time."
You rolled your eyes although smiling and sat down on the blanket in the grass. "You're the only one here?"
"Yeah. Mikey's grabbing something and the others were told to come a bit later."
The sun began to lose its place, falling to allow the darkness to take over the sky and having the stars give light. In that time, no one arrived.
"How much later did you tell them to come?" You queried, glancing at Draken.
He shrugged and sat next to you. "Just let them come in on their own."
"I'm normally the one that's late, what's with them?"
"Maybe it's vengeance."
"Very funny." You leaned on his shoulder with a pout, sticking out your bottom lip. "It's cold."
"It's not that cold."
"Maybe because your body has been so close to a corpse so many times."
He looked down at you, expression unamused, and put his arm around you. "It's not like you'd let it become a corpse."
