Happy New Year - Foo Fighters x Reader

You knocked on the front door of the Kujo home three times in quick succession. While you waited for the door to open, you twiddled your thumbs as your nerves got the best of you. Jolyne had invited you to her New Years Eve party a week ago, and all week long you had been completely nervous to attend.

Why? Because Foo Fighters was going to be there.

You'd had a crush on them for as long as you could remember. Ever since you started attending school with them, you were smitten. Thanks to your anxious deposition, however, you'd never been able to get close to them.

You'd gotten close to Jolyne, to Hermés, hell, you'd even gotten close to Anasui! Try as you might, though, you couldn't bring yourself to gather enough courage to talk to Foo.

Their carefree attitude and energetic spirit were intimidating (to you, at least). You wanted to get close to them, but you always turned into a stuttering mess when you tried to speak to them. As such, you hid in the crowd whenever they'd come around, admiring Foo from afar.

It didn't take a genius to figure out what was going on. It did, however, take the combined efforts of Jolyne and Hermés.

"You like Foo, don't you?" Hermés accused.

"H-Huh? No, I don't! H-How did you... what makes you..." you stammered, an awkward and futile attempt to deny the truth.

"It's pretty obvious, babes," Jolyne said, "The way you act around them is classic crush-having behavior."

Knowing you had no way out of this, you sighed and leaned back against the wall. "Yeah, okay, I like them. But I'm too awkward to get any words out when they're around."

Hermés and Jolyne exchanged a look, then turned back to you and smiled.

"Come to my New Years Eve party," Jolyne suggested, "and we'll help you out."

"Really? You'd do that for me?"

"Of course," she responded. "That's what friends are for!"

And that's how you found yourself on Jolyne's front porch, heart beating out of your chest. She hadn't told you any details about her plan, only that she needed you to come to the party. So, you did.

"I'll get it!" Shouted a familiar voice from the other side of the door.

Your eyes instantly widened and your heart pounded faster. Why were they going to open the door? You were going to blow it before the plan had even been put into motion!

Foo flung open the door with a massive smile on their face. "(Y/N), so good to see you!"

"Y-Yeah! H-h-hi, Foo... Nice to... uh, see... you, t-too," you managed to get out.

They paid your stuttering no mind, instead wrapping you in a warm embrace. You froze, nervous and panicking, unable to move an inch.

This was what a hug from them felt like? Oh, it felt wonderful! Just as you allowed yourself to relax, to begin enjoying the hug, Foo pulled away just as quickly as they had rushed in.

"Come inside! There's lots of snacks and drinks," they said, motioning for you to follow them in.

And so, you did.

The party was fun with all of your friends gathered together to celebrate the New Year. You danced, told stories, played games, anything you could think of until the clock began nearing midnight.

"It's almost time!" Hermés exclaimed.

You missed the quick wink she shot towards Jolyne.

Without missing a beat, Jolyne approached Foo. "Hey, Foo, did you know there's a special tradition to kiss somebody when the clock strikes midnight?"
