In a fancy restaurant, you idly twirl your squid ink pasta around your fork before lifting it to your mouth and taking a bite. Your eyes widen with surprise at the unexpectedly good flavor.

"This is delicious," you exclaim happily to your boyfriend, Caesar, who is lightly chuckling as the pasta paints your lips black.

"I knew you would love it, mia bella," Caesar shamelessly flirts.

Your cheeks turn a light shade of red as the waiter brings over a bottle of wine and refills both of your glasses. Caesar lifts his glass to his lips and takes a long, slow sip, savoring the flavor of the wine. You watch him as he drinks, envying his ability to make anything he does look sexy. He lowers his glass and opens his eyes, immediately locking them with your own.

"You know, it isn't very polite to stare, mi amor," Caesar teases, raising his napkin to dab the corners of his mouth.

You feel the heat rush to your face as you become an incredible blushing mess. "Caesar," you whine, "not in public."

"I don't know what I did wrong, cara," Caesar says, a small smirk turning the right side of his mouth upwards ever so slightly.

"Stop teasing," you tell him as you playfully swat at his hand that had been resting on the table. Instead of getting hit, however, Caesar turns his hand over and in one swift motion he catches your hand in his own. You blush as he then leans over slightly and raises your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles delicately.

"Now why would I ever tease you, mi tesoro?" Caesar asked coyly, planting another kiss on your hand. He then lowered it away from his face, never letting go, and rested your intertwined hands on the table together.

You both return your attention to your meals, making light conversation here and there as you eat. Your hands remain holding one another as you eat and every so often Caesar would rub his thumb slightly over your fingers, a gentle reminder that he was there.

Towards the end of the meal, the waiter brings out a small slice of strawberry cake and sets it in front of you. There is a burning candle situated on the top of it and you look at Caesar puzzled. He snickers slightly, using his free hand to cover his mouth.

Soon, the other waiters in the restaurant surround your table and begin singing "Happy Birthday". Your face flushes red from the embarrassment of having the entire restaurant looking at you, though they're all smiling. You look to Caesar who is singing along happily, though there are clear signs of mischief hidden behind his eyes. As the song finishes, the waiters and most of the other patrons in the restaurant give a round of applause before returning their attention to what they had been doing. Caesar had also clapped, and now that your hands were no longer intertwined, you actually got to smack him slightly.

"What the heck was that, Zeppeli?" You asked quietly, not wanting anyone else to hear. "It isn't even my birthday!"

Caesar chuckles softly and you glare at him. While Caesar may be a gentleman, he was not immune to having a bit of fun when he deemed it necessary.

"I know it isn't your birthday, but look on the bright side. Free cake!" Caesar whispered in a delighted tone. You rolled your eyes at him before looking back down at the cake. The smoke from the candle you had blown out rose slowly and erratically, hitting your nose head on. You coughed slightly into your arm and Caesar laughed again.

"That's it. No cake for you," you joked, picking up the small plate that the cake was situated on and bringing it close to your chest. As Caesar's mouth fell open to feign shock and hurt, you dug your fork into the slice of cake. As the sweet frosting touched your tongue, you let out a small "mmm" to rub it in Caesar's face.
