Final War Log #20: The End of Battleships

Philippines, April 12, 1945

In the final months of war, at Manila Bay the American's are settling there helping with the Filipinos that were severely traumatized and wounded. That is because of the hellish battle of Manila, the final Liberation of the Philippines from the Japanese from 1941 and 1944, the Americans has come back to reclaim their beloved nation ever since the Spanish-American War. To the horrors of both American and Filipino forces, many innocent Filipinos died in the hands of the Japanese.

From February 3 to March 3, 1945 after the Battle of Philippine Sea and Leyte Gulf, the American forces push through the Capital, which is Manila as their promise thanks to General Douglas MacArthur's promis and plan to liberate the Philippines.

In the damaged parts of Manila Bay, USS Missouri, USS Winconsin, and USS Illinois are docked at the bay. All the sailors are in the sanctuary in the damaged ruins of Manila Hotel, a few rooms were not damaged but most of the facade and floors are ruined by the battle. Other americans are however cleaning up the corpse, debris, and other damages left.

Other Americans are sent to mountain provinces to help with the Filipino guerillas that are in need in defeating  the trapped Japanese troops in the mountains and forest.

The three admirals are looking at the ruined state of Manila all looked in sadness as the once beautiful Queen of the Pacific was now gone and ruined because of the Japanese. All hinting back at Pearl Harbor.

Ad. Missouro: I can't  believe it that this is what the Philippines is...

Ad. Winstons: So many innocent Filipinos and Americans are killed by those bastards! Destroying the once glorious Queen of the Pacific.

Ad. Illiohem: *Sniff* The Manila that my family once walked, booked hotels, and play games with our friends both Americans, Filipinos, and Jews.

Ad. Missouro: I went to see the Intramuros, I quickly remember that my family when I was young visited here, but after seeing the ruins, I can't believe including the Spanish infrastracture are destroyed.

Ad. Winstons: It takes a lot of research and architecture before restoring the once beautiful natin of the archieopelago.

Ad. Winstons: I can't even believe on how messed up the Japanese are!

Ad. Illiohem: How heartless can these bastards be! R*pe, tort*re, k*lling innocent souls?!

Ad. Winstons: Now I think they done the same in China, Vietnam, Malaya, Taiwan, Korea, and the rest part of Asia.

Ad. Missouro: While the army will be fighting on land and on air, we aswell must wait for Admiral Chester W. Nimitz's new orders.

Ad. Illiohem: I hope it's going near the Japanese mainland.

Ad. Winstons: The rest of our aircraft carriers such as the Yorktown and Essex-classes are at Austrailia and Malaya with the help of the British. 

Ad. Missouro: Oh yeah, the British Pacific Fleet.

Ad. Illiohem: Speaking of future plans, Missouro, how's your relationship with Arizana?

Ad. Missouro: Not gonna answer that.

Ad. Winstons: I don't know what happened after your battle at Midway, but please Admiral Illiohem, give him some privacy.

Ad. Illiohem: *Sigh* Well at least he finally has someone who will support and love him.

Ad. Missouro: The spirit of Arizona lives on, within her.
