117th Operation: Frontline Blitz

Hey everybody, Carpboy009 here!

I can't believe I'm able to finally get this posted after finally getting it edited and double checked for it to be the best chapter regarding the certain characters featured within.

So I originally planned to release this chapter far before the story hit 100k+ reads, but 10 months later and here we are.

As promised I have provided all of you the latest and possibly greatest chapter yet of this story that's been out clear back as 2018. My scheduling hasn't been the greatest but I hope to compensate for that with a chapter almost 2 times longer than my average.

I'm just spitballing how long this is but I'm over 30K words alone so who's paying attention?

I'm glad and thankful for all the support I've gotten over the years and thank you all for the time and patience with me. You're support, favorites, likes, comments, whatever you do inspires me to keep reading and writing and I hope to continue doing so for a long time.

Feel free to ask me anything and ill eventually get to answering or replying to any advice or ideas y'all have. I've got responsibilities outside of writing as I bet you all already know. But either way I like reading and replying to everyone's ideas when I can.

Sidious contemplated his latest decisions regarding the war.

Giving Skywalker the title of Grand General was to give him the ability to go over the Jedi Council. Make him see the incompetence they possessed. With their decision to try and stop for the search for the ever growing thorn in his side, General Avery Johnson, he hoped his potential apprentice would move down a dark warpath that the Jedi would only escalate trying to stop.

Yet that didn't happen yet. Skywalker's opinion on the Jedi Council was low, even after learning his own master faked his death and kept it secret from him. But their bond strengthened sooner than he expected. On top of that his current apprentice was foolish enough to let the Zygerian slavers handle Johnson's capture.

Just as the Jedi found out about the Togruta colony's capture by those very slavers...

It could not be a coincidence, yet the Dark Side told him of no deception from Dooku. Still, the punishment for failure needs to be given. General Grievous would be attempting to attack Johnson's fleet if his calculations were proven correct, so his punishment needed be delayed until the battle was over.

Still... why not suffer an assassination attempt from the same man he sold into slavery? Revenge given to whoever succeeds.

A dark cackle and heinous grin from the Dark Lord echoed through his office. His current 'throne'. Dooku had already has an attempt on his life before, the assassin he had yet to find, but who's to say the Republic can't order the execution of an enemy?

In a moment he flipped his outward expression and became Sheev Palpatine once again. He had a few calls to make to bring the Senate together for a vote.
