Chapter 8

A few days later I stood in the back of a room while a meeting was being held with the Hollowing Commandos, Steve, Peggy, Stark, Phillips and a couple other military people. I was taking notes of the meeting and whenever I looked up I saw Steve looking at me.

"Schmidt's working with powers beyond our capabilities. He gets across the Atlantic, he will wipe out the entire Eastern Seaboard in an hour." Stark said and I hid my gasp.

"How much time until this happens?" Peggy asked.

"According to Dr. Zola about 24 hours." Phillips said. After Bucky fell from the train they were still able to capture Zola.

"Where is Schmidt now?" Peggy asked.

"Hydra's last base. It's in the Alps 500 feet below the surface." I said having that info and placing it on the table. Before I could walk away again Steve grabbed my hand making it not noticeable to anyone else and I stayed standing next to him.

"So what are we supposed to do? It's not like we can just knock on the front door." A Howling Commando said. Steve looked up from the paperwork he was reading.

"Why not? That's exactly what we are going to do." Steve said. I hid my tears and left the room.

"Meeting dismissed." Steve said and followed me. I rushed into an empty room and Steve followed, once he was inside so we had privacy he locked the door. I had tears streaming down my face and I just rushed Steve and wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his chest and cried, he just held on to me.

"Steve please don't do this. Please don't leave me and go after him, let everyone else go. You need to stay here, with me." I said and then realized this was a fight I had been having with him since all of this started.

"Hazel, please don't do this. This is the end, I have to see this through." Steve said and I cried. He took a hand and grabbed my chin so I looked up at him. He leaned down and passionately kissed me. I felt Steve reach in his pocket, when we pulled apart he was looking in my eyes. He then held up the diamond band and I gave a small smile.

"You took this off the other day and you told me when I figured out what I wanted out of life we could discuss it. I want you Hazel, I have only ever wanted you. I know I am going on this mission and I promise you it is the last one. I will come back and we will be getting married and have all those kids you want to have. I promised Bucky we could name a son after him." Steve said and I smiled.

"I would love that." I said and Steve grabbed my left hand from around his neck.

"This belongs on here." Steve said and placed the ring there and I nodded.

"It really does." I said and Steve smiled and leaned in to passionately kiss me again. The kiss got deeper Steve pushed me over to the table that was in the room and lifted me up to sit on top of it. I smiled when I reached down and felt him hard in his pants.

"I can't wait Hazel, I need you now." Steve said and I hiked up my skirts and removed my panties and Steve smiled. I reached down and undid his pants and watched them and his boxers fall to the ground. He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me to the edge of the table and quickly thrusted in me and I hid my cry in Steve's neck. He kept thrusting and I smiled as I lifted my face from his neck and passionately kissed him. Steve kept thrusting and I looked at Steve.

"I love you." I said and he nodded

"I love you too." Steve said and soon after he was twitching inside of me and my legs were shaking as we both released together. We didn't move for a minute and then finally we knew we needed to leave the room. As I was putting my panties back on and righting my skirt Steve leaned down and passionately kissed me.
