Chapter 16

After breakfast the next morning I was cleaning up the kitchen when Bucky walked in the house.

"Hey!" I said seeing him. He rushed over and hugged me.

"God it is so good to see you and hug you again." Bucky said and I smiled as we released. He saw Steve sitting in the living room with Tony. They both noticed Bucky and I noticed the tension between Steve and Bucky.

"Hey, don't be mad at him." I whispered to Bucky and he sighed. He then took my hand.

"Can we go outside and talk?" Bucky asked and I nodded.

"Steve, we will be outside." I said and he nodded with a smile. Once Bucky and I walked outside we went down to the lake and sat on a bench Tony had there. Bucky looked at me and smiled.

"What?" I asked and she shook his head.

"You in jeans and a t-shirt, something I never thought I would see." Bucky said and I laughed.

"Yeah well, it's still me just now trying to fit in." I said and Bucky smiled.

"How are you really though being back?" Bucky asked and I sighed.
"It's not even been 24 hours yet Buck." I said and he groaned.

"I know but if you aren't comfortable you just need to tell Steve to take you back." Bucky said and I looked at him confused.

"Bucky...is there something you aren't saying?" I asked and he sighed.

"No, it's just he brought you here for himself and didn't think how it would affect you. I just want you happy Hazel." Bucky said and I smiled at him.

"I am happy Buck. I have the love of my life back, have you back and met Howards Starks son." I said and Bucky laughed.

"Yeah, you found that out?" Bucky asked and I nodded.

"I did. I must say he is a lot like his dad." I said and Bucky nodded.

"Don't tell him that, he won't believe it." Bucky said and I nodded.

"Yeah, I can see that." I said and then sighed. We were both silent for a minute.

"So Super Solider..." I said nudging him, Bucky groaned and hung his head with a smile.

"Steve told you huh?" Bucky said and I nodded.

"He told me everything." I said and Bucky sighed getting a pained look on his face.

"I am so sorry Bucky, I have no clue what exactly you went through and you don't have to tell me but I just am so sorry you did." I said and Bucky smiled at me.

"Thank you Hazel." Bucky said and then I looked at his left arm in the sleeve of his jacket. He shook his head.

"You want to see it don't you?" Bucky asked and I smiled.

"Only if you want to show me." I said and Bucky nodded and took his jacket off and I looked at it when he turned it towards me and I lifted my hand.

"May I?" I asked and Bucky nodded. I started touched the metal on the arm.

"This isn't normal metal." I said and Bucky nodded.

"It's vibrianium." Bucky said and I looked at him.

"Like the shield?" I asked and Bucky nodded.

"Wow." I said and stopped touching it and he smiled.

"Bucky, why are you mad at Steve?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.

"He brought you back here." Bucky said and I looked at him confused and annoyed.

"I don't mean it like that Hazel, calm down. What I mean is we talked about it, him and I, he said he was going to leave you. I told him if he had to go see you fine but not to disrupt your life." Bucky said and I groaned.
"He didn't disrupt my life Bucky, I didn't have a life without Steve." I said and Bucky shook his head.
