Chapter 12

*****PRESENT DAY*****

*****STEVE POV*****

All of the Avengers were having to go back in time to find 6 stones called the infinity stones to beat an alien force names Thanos from getting control of earth and wiping out half of civilization. I was traveling with Tony back to 1970 to get one of the stones and more Pym particles which we helping us travel back in time. I walked into an office to hide out from some guards who were walking the hallway and when I looked on the desk I saw a picture of me from before the serum on the desk and I looked at the name plate on the desk.

"No..." I said as he saw the name plate said Hazel Morris. I then saw the door open to the office that Hazel's was connected to and I saw her and Peggy come walking in talking and laughing. She was older now but she was still as beautiful as ever. I walked up to the window staying the shadow of her dark office just to watch her and Peggy talk. Hazel rolled her eyes at something Peggy said and I smiled remember her rolling her eyes at me. I saw a guy come in the office and kiss Hazel on the cheek and my fist clinched until he walked up and kissed Peggy on the lips and I sighed a sigh or relief. I wanted to walk in and just kiss her

"Steve, do you have what we need?" I heard Tony ask in my earpiece.

"Yeah. On my way to rendezvous point." I said and gave Hazel on last look.

"I love you so much." I said and quickly left her office. Once Tony and I made it back to present time and day I handed Doctor Bruce Banner the Pym particles and walked away to my room in the compound.

"Steve?" Nat called out and followed me seeing me upset. Once I got to my room I went to slam the bedroom door shut but Nat stopped it.

"What the hell Steve?" Nat said and I sat on my bed and put my head in my hands.

"I was about to be caught by guards where Tony and I had to go. Well I ducked into an office and it was her office, Hazel's office!" I said as some tears and Nat sat beside me on the bed and placed an arm around my shoulder.

"First I leave Hazel in the 40's and then the Blip happened with Thanos and Bucky left. I have no one left from my life Nat. When I got Bucky back a few years ago everything was falling back into place. I mean I know everyone lost someone but I lost Bucky twice now." I said and Nat just sat with me while I cried.

"So let's get these stones working and get everyone back. I know it won't bring Hazel back but we can at least get you Bucky." Nat said and I gave her a small smile. Nat took a deep breath.

"Did she look happy Steve?" Nat asked and I sighed and looked at the picture of her on my bedside table.

"She did. She was with Peggy and they were laughing about something. She had a picture of me on her desk pre serum so Peggy didn't lie when she said she never stopped loving me." I said and Nat half nodded.

"Did you ever doubt that Peggy lied to you Steve?" Nat asked and I huffed a laugh.

"No, I just wanted her to be happy." I said and Nat sighed.
"And she was, keeping your memory alive made her happy." Nat said and I smiled at her. As I sat there, there was a knock on the door and Tony came walking in.

"You okay Cap?" Tony asked and I sighed.

"He saw Hazel." Nat spoke up and Tony sighed.

"Oh Cap, I'm sorry. I didn't now know she would be there." Tony said and I shrugged.

"I didn't either. She didn't see me though so we are okay. It's just I wanted to just rush her and embrace her one more time." I said and they both nodded.

"I cant imagine losing someone like you did her Rogers and I know you are missing something in your life and part of that is also Barnes. So let's work on getting all these back that we lost." Tony said and I stood up and shook his hand.
