Chapter 21

*****A FEW DAYS LATER*****

*****STEVE POV*****

I was sitting in the compound meeting room waiting for the rest of the team to go over some recent event. I was reading over a file when Tony walked in.

"Rogers." Tony said.

"Tony." I said.

"So...how's Hazel?" Tony asked. I found it odd he would just outright ask about her.

"She is fine, offered for her to come today but she insisted on staying home." I said and Tony huffed a laugh. I looked at him.

"She still upset?" Tony asked.

"What are you talking about Tony?" I asked.

"Oh come on Rogers don't play dumb." Tony said.

"Tony I have no clue what you are talking about, what do you mean is she still upset?!" I asked getting upset and standing up.

"The negative pregnancy test." Tony said and I looked at him confused.

"What are you talking about Tony?" I asked.

"The other day I got home after we had our meeting I got to the house and saw a pregnancy test in the trash of the bathroom and I panicked asking Pepper is she was pregnant. She said no and that Hazel came over and was worried she was pregnant. She was panicking Steve, she didn't want to be pregnant. The test was negative and Pepper said she seemed relieved. Steve, you always talked about a family and I think your perfect woman doesn't want kids." Tony said as I got up and started pacing.

"Oh shut it Tony!" I yelled pissed off. I wasn't mad at Tony right now, my anger was geared toward Hazel.

"Don't get mad at me, I thought you two would have talked about this." Tony said and I groaned.

"Well she didn't and I don't know why." I said pissed off.

"Steve, you may want to go talk to Hazel. Looks like she is okay with keeping secrets from you. If she wasn't going to tell you about this, what else isn't she saying? Is she even happy about being here or being with you?" Tony said and I slammed my hand down on the table.

"I'm out of here." I said and left as the rest of team was walking in.

"Steve?" Bucky asked seeing me pissed.

"Not now Bucky!" I said through gritted teeth and I left the compound going directly home. Everything Toy said running through my head.

*****NORMAL POV*****

I was sitting on the couch reading a book Steve suggest. I was shocked when I heard his car pull in the driveway knowing the meeting was going to run long. When he walked in I could tell something was instantly wrong.

"Steve?" I asked and he started pacing in the living room in front of me.

"Are you happy Hazel?" Steve asked and I just looked at him confused.

"Of course I am..." I trailed off.

"If you are so happy Hazel why are you keeping things from me?" Steve asked and I groaned. I got up and stood in front of him.

"Steve, what are you talking about?" I asked placing my hands on his chest to stop him from pacing. He removed my hands from his chest and I looked at him confused.

"Steve..." I said and looked at the floor.

"Hazel, tell me." Steve said.

"I thought I was pregnant. I took a pregnancy test, it was negative." I said and Steve sighed but was still angry.
