*****STEVE POV*****
I sat there holding her hand whole she was in a coma. I did this, I drove her to leave the house with our fight and now she wouldn't wake up. As I sat holding her hand I felt a hand lay on my shoulder and I looked to see Bucky.
"Hey, why don't you go home. Get some sleep, a shower, some food." Bucky said and I shook my head.
"No way. I need to be here when she wakes up." I said and Bucky groaned and took the chair on the opposite side of the bed and grabbed Hazel's other hand.
"You know she took off her engagement band. I found it in her jeans pocket." I said and Bucky groaned.
"Steve, that doesn't mean anything." Bucky said.
"It means she is done." I said.
"It could mean an array of things Steve. Wait until he wakes up and hear what she has to say." Bucky said.
"I just don't know why she isn't waking up. The doctors said it has been 3 days, she should be awake." I said and Bucky just sighed and placed a hand on my cheek.
"Doll, he is spiraling. Can you wake up please?" Bucky asked and I gave a small laugh knowing she would probably wake up for Bucky just to spite me, but no such luck. I sat looking at her and was running my free hand through her hair.
"Hazie, come on sweetie. I'm sorry for everything and I just want you in my life. I need you." I said and dropped my head. Bucky got up, kissed Hazel's forehead and walked out knowing I just wanted to be alone. After a few hours of just sitting and waiting for her to make progress I sighed and pulled out my cellphone.
"Hey, how is she?" Wanda asked.
"No change. Can you come to the hospital?" I asked.
"Sure Steve, I'll be there soon." Wanda said and hung up. Wanda showed up a little while later and walked in the room.
"Hey Steve." Wanda said and I looked at her and gave her a little smile.
"Hey Hazel." Wanda said walking up and gently squeezing her other hand.
"Wanda, I need you to do something for me." I said and Wanda looked at me confused.
"What can I do Steve?" Wanda asked.
"I need you to show me what's going on in her mind right now. I need to know what she is fighting and why she won't wake up." I said and Wanda groaned.
"Steve, I don't have her permission." Wanda said.
"Wanda please. She should be awake by now. I need to know what she is fighting." I said and Wanda sighed.
"Fine, I need you to clear your mind so you get a clear view." Wanda said and I did the best I could. Wanda placed her hand on Hazels head and then projected it to me.
*****HAZELS MIND/HAZEL POV*****
*****MEMORY*****
"Pepper, are you sure?" I asked and she nodded.
"It's negative." Pepper said showing me the test. I stood in shock as tears filled my eyes.
"Are you okay?" Pepper asked.
"These are actually sad tears Pepper. Even though I was freaking out I kind of did want a baby. I want nothing more than to have a family with Steve and we can live out our happily ever after with us and a family but without having part of that fairytale of marriage I can't have a baby right now and that does upset me. Steve won't move on with me. I know I said I didn't want marriage right away but he hasn't mentioned it since I first arrived. I thought moving in with him would make everything move ahead but he has just gone on as nothing changed. I don't know what to think anymore. All I know is I'm not telling him about this, this will just be kept a secret." I said and Pepper groaned.
"Can't you just tell him it was negative and be honest that you want to wait?" Pepper asked.
"I am sorry have you ever tried to reason with Steve? It doesn't work." I said and Pepper sighed with a laugh. Wanda then flipped through the memories to me at the cemetery talking and taking the ring off. Then the entire car accident when a car went left of center and hit me head on. Wanda released my head and then looked at Steve who was crying, Wanda's eyes were even full of tears.
"I am so sorry Steve." Wanda said and placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Wanda, I need you to get back in there and find her subconscious and get her awake. I won't need in on that one but I need you do it for me." Steve said and Wanda nodded.
"She doesn't need to do that." I said weakly while opening my eyes. Steve looked at me in shock and then stood up to lean over me and close to my face.
"Oh Hazie..." Steve said and gently kissed me. I half smiled at him.
"Steve, everything hurts." I said and he placed a hand on the side of my face gently. Wanda slid out of the room seeing me awake and giving Steve and I time.
"I know sweetie, do you remember being in the accident?" Steve asked and I nodded.
"It wasn't my fault Steve." I said and he nodded sitting on the side of the bed.
"I know Hazel, it's okay. Everything is okay." Steve said.
"Everything? Even us?" I asked and Steve nodded.
"Even us. You are my everything Hazel and I want to marry you more than anything." Steve said and I smiled.
"That's all I want too. I just want you." I said and Steve nodded and placed his forehead gently on mine.

A few days later the hospital released me and Steve was taking me home. As we got home I went to get out of the car and Steve came over and picked me up bridal style.
"Steve, I have to use the crutches." I said and she shook his head.
''Not as long as I'm around now put your arms around my neck love." Steve said and I groaned but did as I was told. We got inside and Steve headed to the bedroom and I smiled.
"I don't get to sit up in the living room?" I asked and she shook his head.
"No ma'am." Steve said and I smiled. He laid me down on the bed once we got in the room and laid beside me. I noticed he brought the tv in the room and I smiled.
"We are going to be spending all of our time in here, until you are better." Steve said and I smiled.
"Sounds good to me." I said and cuddled into Steve's side when he got in bed. He sighed wrapping his arms around me.
"Hey, I have something of yours." Steve said and reached for something on his bedside table and grabbed my engagement band. I smiled seeing it.
"I'm sorry I took it off...I was sad." I said and Steve nodded.
"I know, I understand. So I was wondering if you wanted this back or...did you want this new one?" Steve said asked showed me a diamond ring. It was vintage style and I was instantly in love.
"Steve!" I exclaimed and he smiled.
"Hazel, I always promised you I would get you a diamond ring when all the craziness was over. Well I think it's over and it's time I do this right and we get moving towards our forever future." Steve said and I smiled as he placed the diamond ring on my left-hand ring finger and then gave me the diamond band.
"What do we do with this ring?" Steve asked and I took off the necklace I had and place it on the chain.
"Right here, close to my heart, where you always were and where you will always be." I said and he leaned in and passionately kissed me.
