Ch 8 - The Little Merman (& Human)

Dream was asleep and heard the human wake up. The merman yawned and noticed he was glowing again, for he curled up to hide it

Why now?! He thought as he heard the human hum and walk up to the cage. Dream just stayed silent and backed away deeper into the coral home

George's POV

He was changing, but a small light caught his eye. "Huh?" he hummed as he walked up to the small aquarium, seeing his fish swimming

Maybe it's the tetras? George thought, for they are the only fish that glows in the dark or in daylight, but he could've sworn the light was green

Nothing, he thought and walked away, seeing his fish were swimming around, but he had a feeling something unusual is in there

Dream's POV

The human left. Dream sighed as he sat up and was healing his injuries. "Is that magic?" a koi asked as Dream nodded, smiling afterwards

"So, you're a merman?!" a tetras asked in surprise as Dream nodded. "Does your voice attract humans?" the fish were overlapping him with questions

"Sirens do that, and me as well, but I never tried," Dream said as he thought of maybe testing it with the human, but said no mentally

"Can you sing us a lullaby?" they all asked as Dream shook his head. They all begged for him to sing, but he still said no

"I'm not sure if my voice will attract humans, and if it does, I can't, or I will be spotted," Dream said as he continued to heal himself

George's POV

He walked to Karl's house and his friend dragged him inside. "KARL?!" George yelled as he rubbed his shirt down after the pull

"Happy Birthday, George!" Karl said as he hugged him. "Karl, my birthday was yesterday," George giggled as he gasped at the gift Karl handed him
