George had explained to them about his plan to prank. "If all goes wrong, either one of us gets caught, or we're forced to fight back," George finished as the mermen nodded
Even Dream, being the smallest ever, he is willing to be in this prank. Of course, it'll be harder for the humans to catch him, but at least he'll be able to protect and defend himself and his friends
George swam up as the mermen followed, seeing what he intended to do. The blue merman swam in circles around the boat
Sapnap could see the humans looking down and pointing. George looked up and smiled. He led out a small blow of air, causing the water around the boat to freeze
"WHAT?!" Karl was surprised as Dream smiles, "Oh yeah! You all have powers! They work underwater, even the red flower power."
Karl: What is the "Red Flower"?
Sapnap: My power sparks brighter than the surface ball in the sky
Dream: It is what you humans call "fire"
Karl: It sounds beautiful
Sapnap: And yet, it is dangerous
Karl: But how does fire work underwater? It always turns out the flames
Dream: Not this flower
George had completely frozen the water around the boat. The mermen heard the humans panicking and they all laughed
They laughed and they heard the humans saying random angry and confused words, and only George and Karl understood they were cursing
But their laughter stopped as Karl noticed one of them raising their arms and a metal rod with a sharp point like an arrow pierced through the ice
"LOOK OUT!" Karl yelled as the mermen swam away. George was breathing faster as he looked up, seeing the humans pull the rope from the harpoon
"MERMAIDS!!" One yelled. They sounded terrified than amused. Dream laughs nervously, "Our ancestor back then were not as beautiful as you can imagine. They were monsters."
The harpoon was shot again as they dodged it. They swam away, but more boats were coming to them
Karl: IT WAS JUST A PRANK!!
Dream: They don't know that
George: Nor understand!
Sapnap: SWIM!
They swam away as more harpoons were being shot. George felt like his world had become slow, because he barely dodged a harpoon as it passed his face slowly
He looked up and noticed more fishermen had joined in. "We need to fight back!" George said as Dream nodded
He squeaked when a harpoon slid past him, very close to touching his tail. "Dream!" George swam up to him and cupped his hands as the tiny merman shivered violently
