15 years later

Since Elligton's death fifteen years ago, Rydel has not found anyone else. She adopted a baby girl shortly after he passed, who is now 13 years old. Her name is Ellie, and Rydel is taking care of her as a single parent.

"Mom!" Ellie yelled from the attic, having just found a loose floorboard. Underneath, there were hundreds of pictures of a brown haired, teenage boy.

"Yes, Ellie?" Rydel yells from the bottom of the attic ladder, knowing she sent Ellie up to find a blanket in one of the boxes.

"I found a loose floorboard. Underneath was a bunch of pictures of some boy." Ellie yells from the top of the ladder, holding one of the pictures.

Oh no, Rydel thought, Today wasn't the day I wanted to tell her about him.

"I'm coming, Ellie!" Rydel yelled as she began to climb the ladder to the attic.

When she reached the top, she wasn't prepared for what she saw. All of the pictures were laid out, and her daughter was looking at all of them in astonishment.

"Who is he, Mom? There seems to be tons of pictures of him with you, Uncle Riker, Uncle Ross, Uncle Rocky, and Uncle Ry. Who is he? These are at least from 2013 or 2014. It's not as advanced as cameras now." Ellie says quietly, running her fingers delicately over the pictures.

"I have a story to tell you. His name is Ellington, and me, all of your uncles minus Uncle Ry, and him used to be in a band." I say quietly, sniffling at the memories of the band falling apart without him.

"Wait, you named me, right? I know you're not my biological mother, but you named me?" Ellie asks.

"Yes, I named you. You were only a week old when I adopted you." Rydel says, smiling slightly at the memory of holding her for the first time.

"You named me after him, didn't you? Ellington, Ellie. He was your best friend, and something happened to him. I can tell." Ellie says sweetly, trying to comfort Rydel.

"Yes, I named you after him. In loving memory. I was in love with him, and he never got to know." Rydel says quietly, tears beginning to fall from her face as she picked up a few of the pictures.

"He died? How? If you don't want to tell, you don't have to." Ellie says comfortingly, trying to keep her mom from getting upset.

"He was driving over to my house to visit. I was going to tell him that I was in love with him that day. He was going through a streetlight, and another car ran the red light, running straight into the drivers side of the car. The ambulance got to him as soon as they could. He was barely alive when taken to the hospital, and was taken straight into emergency surgery. They performed the surgery, and they had to put him to sleep during the surgery. Once he went under, he never came back up." Rydel says, even more tears streaming down her face.

"I understand how upset you are. You seemed very close to him." Ellie says, pulling Rydel into a tight hug.

"Ellie, we were supposed to be together. We were supposed to have a happy family. I'm sorry, Ellie. I should calm down." Rydel says in tears, choking out the words.

"It's fine, Mom." Ellie says, wiping away some of Rydel's tears.

They heard the door bell ring downstairs right as Rydel finished wiping off her face. She rushed down the attic ladder, and answered the door. Standing at the door was a boy who looked about 15, and he had brown hair, and brown eyes.

"Hi, are you Rydel Lynch?" The boy asked, looking at her closely.

"Yes, that's me. Can I help you?" Rydel asks politely.

"Hi, I'm Elijah Ratliff."

I made a part two like most of you wanted! How about a part 3? Part three would be the final part, unless I think of another cliff hanger ending. Hope you enjoyed, and I'll try to put part three up later! I wonder who Elijah is... oh wait, I already know who he is!
